This review is by someone who has played the original Lone Survivor. This game is an emotional dive in feelings of isolation, depression, loss, grief and hardships that come from those places of the human mind. Super Lone Survivor is a game I'll revisit even when I fully complete it just for the story, characters, music and atmosphere. The gameplay can be very tense when exploring the hellscape the player find themselves in and the often ambiguous backgrounds enhance the feeling by making the mind race with more scary images than many high definition graphics. But it can also be very cozy, contrasting with the horrible world outside of the player's flat when listening to music, reading or just interacting with some characters. The story has multiple endings but is fairly short, ranging beteen 4 to 8 hours depending on the various paths and is open enough to leave some freedom of interpretation for what happened and always leaves me feeling both sad and happy by the end. This version of the game brings better graphics, high resolution screen support and a lot more content than I expected originally, with secret areas, items and even more story related scenes (both creepy and relaxing). I bought this remaster scared I wouldn't be satified by the end but came out feeling like I got what I paid for and more, I'm very looking forward to what this developer will make in the future, this is a hidden gem of horror that deserves more attention.
