This is one of the most terrifying games I have ever played. It is a walking simulator. Easy puzzles, no chases, no real threats. However it managed to scare the hell out of me from the beginning to the end. How, you ask? Simply with the sound. The sound design in this game is PERFECT, a masterpiece. You are not alone, you feel you are not alone, you don't see anyone, but you can feel a presence haunting you. You can hear its steps, its breaths, its guttural vocalizations. Then, every now and then, you actually see something. And every encounter is memorable, also thanks to the magistral sound effects which managed to create a heavy and overwhelming tension, which fully unleashes in the most appropriate moments. Also, the story is truly intriguing. It makes you keep playing, keep moving forward, even if your fear becomes progressively unbearable, to the point that you are tempted to shut down everything. But you can't. You can't stop. I think fear is a sort of drug. You know it hurts, but somehow you can't stop savoring it. This game is a perfect example of this principle, and that's why, in my opinion, it is a true masterpiece of horror. I fully recommend playing this if you like horror in general, in videogames, movies, music, or whatever. You won't be disappointed, trust me. Cheers guys!
