funny game :) very scary

the game is bad. Like f off really, it does not deserve to be played.

Considerando che é un indie game (sviluppato da una sola persona) direi che é un'ottima esperienza. Non devi scappare da nessun mostro, non devi correre da nessuna parte, devi soltanto camminare e goderti il viaggio.

I'm not a braveheart, but I dared to play "From the darkness". Alone. The atmosphere is quite creepy and anxiogenic. I appreciated the sounds, which are an active part of the game. The amount of jumpscares is also appropriate. Still I can't understand the ending. I'm not going to make any spoiler, but I would have enjoyed a more complex plot. Come on granpa, you know that I was your favorite grandchild ;)

sono veramente incredulo riguardo questo gioco. penso di non aver mai ricevuto una delusione simile in 23 anni di età. non sto scherzando. compratelo tanto dura 80 minuti e potete chiedere il rimborso, giusto per comprendere appieno la delusione di cui vi sto parlando. vi faccio un saluto, spero che possiate passare una buona serata, al contrario mio che ho giocato "From the Darkness".

Terrificante!!! ottimo audio e atmosfera tetra. Ti fa paura anche se non succede assolutamente niente, veramente un piccolo capolavoro dell'orrore, stra consigliato

This game is veeery scary. It was for me at least. It relies both on a tense and creepy atmosphere, AND on very well placed jumpscares. I felt genuine fear while playing, sometimes I even felt shivers on my back! There are a few puzzles, some relatively easy, some truly nice, and some a bit confusing and frustrating. The feature of this game that I liked the least is its randomness. Sometimes, to progress, you simply have to walk around and wait for random events to happen. This is not very clever for a puzzle game. Conversely, the feature that I liked the most is the sound design, which constantly keeps you on your toes. Also, light effects are well done, together with sounds they create a terrifying atmosphere. Overall I recommend this game to all horror lovers who aren't afraid of occasional jumpscares. And, well... when a game manages to remind me of Silent Hill... it's done! Easy recommend! Cheers guys! UPDATE: I played this game again recently, after some months since my first playthorugh, because I wanted to see what new contents were added with the latest updates, and I have to say that the devs really did a good job, they drastically improved the game! They improved the frustrating puzzle I mentioned above, which is now MUCH clearer and straightforward, and furthermore added a lot of new models and jumpscares in the last section, which was a bit empty previously. Now I recommend this game even more. I played a lot of other horror games since my first playthrough of this title, but I have to say that none of them was nearly as scary as this one. "From the darkness" is probably the scariest horror I have ever played. Excellent work devs!
