Please SUPPORT Taisho x Alice! I have finished this game in 20 hours (I've played in offline mode for half of the time) and I really enjoyed it! The story and voice acting are great! The art is beautiful! The characters are super interesting (also the heroine? Yes! I love Yurika, the heroine. She is smart, hilarious and beautiful). Also I've heard that the level of angst are going to grow as you go on with the episodes. For now, in episode 1, there are more fluff and funny scenes than sad moments, but
there are some twists that you do not expect
. Please buy Taisho x Alice so we can get the next episodes' localization! You can play each episode as a stand-alone game. I'm looking forward to play the next episodes! When I've finished Red's route I was like: nooo I need more!! Also...I'm too curious about Wizard and Alice!

I love the heroine Arisu, because she's not gullible, she's called "pure" exactly zero times AND she's not passive at all! Seriously, you MAY THINK she's being passive at times, but in reality, she's internally going: "All according to keikaku!"...She's competent, insightful and really sunny/positive without being a doormat. That said, her qualities make it impossible to self-insert. This is definitely her story, you (and the poor "princesses") are simply along for the ride. Red’s Route: To be honest, I would give the first 3/4 of the route a solid ten, but the last part of it was so underwhelming, nonsensical, disappointing and morally twisted that it soured the whole experience for me. Red himself was endearing and while, at first, I felt his dramatics where insulting to women, by the end I just wanted to pat his head. This route was at its core a mystery story, so it kept my attention better than Cinderella's. Cinderella’s Route: Of the two routes, this one felt more “standard otome game”. The supporting cast was infinitely better than Red's, the story made more sense, and you know that "I'm doing this awful thing because I think it's the best for you" awful trope? Yes, our Arisu was having none of that, thank you very much! My only problem with this route was that I found Cinderella himself a bit bland.. Final thoughts: This isn't an otome in which you save the world by romancing characters. Despite the fantasy setting, Red/Cinderella and their problems felt very real. For a game that feels a bit like a parody of the genre, it has insightful lines at times. I appreciated the overall message, which was conveyed very naturally and without seeming condescending.
