Avis sur Rez Infinite

Ok, so I'm playing this for the first time, after having heard for years that this was a timeless classic, a unique masterpiece, I've even seen someone call it a religious experience. Maybe I'm dumb and I just don't see it, but yeah, I don't get it. Or maybe it was really ahead of its time when it came out, but if that's the case, I don't think it really holds up to today's standards. First of all, am I stupid, am I old, am I blind or is anyone else having absolutely no fucking idea where to aim like 80% of the time? I found the playing experience terribly frustrating at times because most times when I got a game over, I didn't even know what had hit me... Second thing, the soundtrack. I mean, the tracks are cool I guess, but I wouldn't call them masterpieces either. I should mention that I'm not necessarily massively into techno, so there's that, but I'm far from hating it and the OST never really did it for me. Also, maybe I know nothing about music but the whole concept of your gameplay influencing the music (which, on paper, sounds like an amazing idea) seems very gimmicky to me here. I mean, yeah, shooting on stuff creates sounds, but I don't really feel like there's any kind of general coherence with the track being played in the background. To me it's just sound effects on top of a soundtrack, which, you know, is something that you find in every single game ever made. Now, the aesthetic is definitely interesting. I'm guessing it was even more so when it came out, but yeah, again, nothing that crazy either. Finally, I found the gameplay to be way too minimalistic to be enjoyable, and I thought the health system was a bit clunky. I'm glad I played it because it was on my bucket list for like a decade, but yeah, I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.
