Heartstop is a short and simple game about Cora, a young woman who wakes up in a world where every other living being is frozen in time without explanation. She encounters Molie who is also unaffected. Together, they slowly get to know each other while trying to uncover the events that led to this worldwide freeze and how they can undo it.
The game lives or dies by its writing, which I was really fond of. The way the dialogue is delivered and the choices you make keep you invested in the story and characters. The impressive number of different endings, none being the true one but rather a natural conclusion to your journey, makes Heartstop all the more memorable. It is a hidden gem, made of pure emotions, and one I couldn't recommend enough.
