Shion has been my favourite character ever since I watched the anime back in 2015, and this chapter just made me love her more. Shion has a lot of flaws, take for example, how can you hate a child that is being abused, just because she clings to her brother? But she still does, which is a selfish thing to do, but isn't what humans do? We feel things we shouldn't feel. We do things we know are wrong. And eventually, we learn. Which is something I know Shion is gonna do. And I could go on because the characterization of her is amazing. But let's just say I love how much of a flaw she is which makes her very human.
Another thing I liked is how isolated she feels from the rest of the group, which is something I completely relate.
The last lines, "I shouldn't have been born, I wouldn't have suffered" and "sorry for being born" hit really hard. This is a tragic story, the journey of a murderer who lost everything -- even from the start, she didn't even own her life.
