The art of this game is gorgeous <3 I was surprised by the artstyle and music from the beginning, but the puzzles are even better!! I found some puzzles more difficult than others but never got stuck. Perfect game to spend a cozy and spooky afternoon :)

En resumidas cuentas, una experiencia redonda. Una estética espectacular, una banda sonora preciosa, y puzzles lo suficientemente enrevesados como para querer tener una libretita a mano en todo momento. Súper recomendable se le queda corto.

Simplemente fascinante, mágico, brutal y único en su genero. Un juego que te tiene enganchado con una historia macabra, un arte de locos y una banda sonora que acompaña de 10. Lo recomiendo 100x100 :D

Back to graphic adventure greatness! Tales from Candleforth is a great, charming graphic adventure. I have been following the project in the past months and I couldn't wait to try the final version! For starters, the visuals, music and general ambience are really charming. The handmade illustrations achieve something very difficult: a feeling both cute and creepy, somehow it feels cozy but at the same time you are thinking all the time: "OH GOD I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS" and I just think this is great. The oniric background story and characters revolve around magic and curses, so the aesthetics match the theme perfectly! Then let's talk about gameplay. Tales from Candleforth's mechanics are old school (in the best of ways). The game lets you explore each room form a first person POV. Everything is 2D illustrated with a limited, pale and tasteful color palette, but if you pay attention to the details you will always find interesting objects that you can save and combine to progress through the adventure. On top of that, there are some points in the adventure where you can read books and letters that will slowly unfold the story -I've always find this storytelling very appealing since I read Dracula long time ago!. And then, there are the puzzles! Oh boy, I love them! They are all small, imaginative pieces that will test your wits. They are not only visual, they also revolve around logic and even music and sounds. They aren't just the typical lever / mosaic puzzles, the eerie ambience and theme will surely surprise you with creepy dolls, entomology and lots of cool stuff. A highly recommended game!

I loved every second of this game!! It has a cozy spooky vibe and it’s just perfect. I’ve been hyped about this game for so long, the artwork is great (handmade!) and the story and the puzzles are really interesting!
