I cannot recommend this game, there are already plenty of monster taming games in steam with a lot more quality. This games throws a bunch of cool mechanics that doesnt fit together nicely. The combat is completelly unbalanced, with a lot of moments where you just cannot explain what the hell happened, how you did some crazy numbers, or so little dmg. Some monsters with just 1 lvl above will obliterate you, and others with 10 above will die from one hit. Even my own monsters with around the same Strength have a huge difference in dmg, which I cannot explain. There is no way of skipping a combar, increasing the speed of it, making it tedious. Some trainers have mechanics that force you to wait 25 turns ( so that one of their passives dissapears, making the combat feasible). The designs are....something. The routes are designed in a way that doesnt make sense, you will do 30 trainers or more before reaching the next city. Healing spots that are not IN a town doesnt count for respawn, so if you loose to one of those tricky trainers with a weird mechanic, you will have to make the whole path again. The game also doesnt teach you practicly anything, some NPCs will hint things, but I had to dig through the forums to know how to progress with the story, and seems like I cant! because I need some materials to craft an item for a Gym Leader to access his Gym, but... that is behind a gatcha system, and I wasnt lucky after 200 tries. Its quite fast to get the coins, but its annoying to need something from it for the story. You can skip the gym and come back later but it didnt feel good. The game has some cool things, so if you like what you see, try it, but it feels like a Roblox game.
