Well, this is my first review ever, and I must say that this games really made want to write about it, as to where star, wel... I will just say what I think a let people have their own conclusions: Starting with everything I count as pros: - This is the first SRPG of this kind I have played (SRPG Maker Engine), it has made me want more of them, I find its gameplay really engaging as well as pretty fun, I wouldn't call it story a masterpiece but is is pretty interesting. - I have only played in Hard Mode, at first I feared it to be too easy o too hard, but it just do it right pretty tight at the start and leaning to be more easier torwards the end thanks to all the fun tools the player is given. - In regards to the playable units, they are varied enough to either fill their on niches or be your more standard ones (aka the fast myrm, the tanky knight, etc) [spoiler] Be prepared you recive a lot of magical units [/spoiler]. The really cons I can say about the game: - Some secrets or way to get them are poorly explained o there is really not way to know how to unlock them. - Because how "recent" is the game and what I think is a rather small community, there aren't any type of guides in how the game works o how to get secrets o special conditions (you can get some if you are "curious" enough), but this is mitigated thanks to all the discussion where the developer answers to the community questions and helps to bring light to the rather tricky secrets of the game. - It may not be very Ironman friendly so keep that in mind (Saving mid battle can help a lot). Now as a sort of conclusion: Esperia ~ Uprising of the Scarlet Witch ~, is a game that anyone that likes SRPG can easily like and enjoy and thanks to the easier difficulties, any that wants to start playing this type of games can have a very good experience and can hook him into SRPGs easily (if you like strategy of some sort that is it).
