- The handling in this game is absolute DOGSHIT -- and that is without ticking the box on "arcade mode - ON". - The humor is lame, the music and noise are way too loud and often annoying, and the engine sounds (etc.) are terrible. - Weapons are only 4. (Variety???) (ii) + they do no real effects. Like throwing cars off their curse; nope! - The maps are ... well, lets just say: they come across like an after-thought, that's how "well made" they feel... - The visual effects are so bad I'd like to just turn them off completely; talk about seeing NOTHING (thanks to smoke/dust) of the map, unless you take the heads-over perspective. (And even then . . . ) +why is there no frame-rate limiter? -- I do not need 200 or 300fps of this mush! (esp. not during summer...) - The voices are... cringe! ... and the gamemodes are terrible. Like: who thought this "knockout" mode was a good idea? -- If I do not win, I get next to nothing in earnings, which just entices me to press restart and restart again (for ever more increasing levels of frustration each turn!), or just go ALT+F4 & avoid the mode alltogether. And why does your car explode at the end of a lap? -- it's nonsensical; + (more importantly) there should atleast be consideration for enemies being eliminated [during that same lap]; a) in general, b) (ESPECIALLY!) by the player himself. Imagine you manage to kill the opponent in front of you before he crosses the line for the last map.; he's dead, you manage to overtake him just in time -- but are dead non the less. (CONGRATS! - bring out the champagne! :D) Frackin' BULLSHIT! - bad game design! - bad developer! I mainly bought this game because I had my eye on the other game of theirs (the "extreme" variety for some good, harmless arcade fun -- on the switch, idealy), and only bought this one as it was dirt cheap (to get an idea about the other one). I was blue eyed -- despite my gutfeeling telling me not to bother, my nostalgia got the better of me... "'Have a N.I.C.E day', with better graphics?" I thought; "hell yeah! - count me in!" ... -- and was utterly, UTTERLY disappointed. (i) It's one of the most uninspired games I ever came across. At best, it gets me thinking about, all the things that could be done to such a type of game to make it intriguing. At worst I feel like being owed compensation pay for the time lost! - - - i) Full disclaimer: I played that game as a kid, being less demanding, for sure. It isn't necessarily better, but... the car handling isn't any worse, that's for sure! And that's an almost 30 year old game we are talking about here! ii) one of the videos seems to suggest there was more later on. But they feel lazily made, non the less. In "NICE", for instance, not all [offensive] weapons were there just to do damage, but also to slow down and derail. I am missing this sort of nuance from this game entirely. "NICE" embraced the over-the-top nature of their games-pitch in a good way; for this game, here, it just seems like a lazy excuse not to do better. Realism should not hinder you from giving a fun gaming experience, but it should inspire you to "do better". This here does neither...
