Das Dlc ist super und toll, weil es den asiatischen Raum stark verändert und verbessert. Die Mandschurei und Japan sind einfacher zu spielen. Das Macromenü vereinfacht auch die diplomatischen Beziehungen mit den anderen Staaten. Die Zeitalter sind sehr offen und für alle leicht zu erfüllen.

I love China, really. And I used to play EU4 with nations in Asia quite a lot. It can be fun to force Ming down to its knees before 1500 as pretty much any Manchu nation or winding your way back up as Mongolia to subdue China once again. On the other hand, trying to get the "Back in control" achievement without tinkering with Shan and culture shifts is next to impossible. Once you border the colonizing Russia or expand far enough for the Ottomans to say "hi", your mandate malus drops to a negative infinity. The Emperor of China, whoever it is at that point of the game, is therefore destined to decay. Playing in Asia is really frustrating unless you make an effort of smacking the Scheisse out of Ming, not in order to take the Mandate of Heaven, but to abolish it as early in the game as possible. Thus, the ultimate goal of making the content of this DLC enjoyable is trying to disable its core mechanic instead of taking it. And it's been like that since years. A pity, unfortunately. Update: One of the former patches has addressed the core issue depicted in this review. Non-tributary neighbours will no longer impose a negative effect to the Mandate of Heaven mechanic, whereas tributaries will contribute positively. Thereby, by now the DLC is pretty much enjoyable.

Wer eine Nation will die von Anfang bis zum Ende des Spiels nur stärker wird und nicht besiegbar von anderen KI-Nationen ist, der ist hier goldrichtig. Allen anderen die die EU4 für seine Sandbox Mechaniken mögen und lieber immer eine andere Nation in China sehen möchte, sollten die Finger von diesem DLC lassen. Einzig schade ist es um die Zeitalter und den Macrobuilder, welches beide gute Ergänzungen sind. Aber mir ist persönlich der Sandbox an EU4 wichtiger als diese zwei Features und werde wohl meine zukünftigen Spiele ohne diesen DLC starten. Die anderen Features wie Manchu Banner und die neuen Regeln in Japan sind wirklich nichts wofür es sich lohnt Geld auszugeben.
