Mir hat dass Spiel sehr gut gefallen, es ist jetzt kein Langzeitgame für mich gewesen, aber sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert ^^

What: ASCENDANT is a fun and addicting 2DPlattforming-roguelike that draws alot of inspiration from THE BINDING OF ISAAC.
And...
How: The concept is really well executed and the game just never gets boring because of the amount of content it offers.
Finally...
Who: Everybody who likes fastpaced brawling or the roguelike-genre should get this game!

This game is incredibly good. I normaly dont like the rogue-light genre very much because it often comes along with bad gameplay mechanics. However i like the basic idea of roque-light games, different Levels every playthrough, different and radom character builds and stuff like this.
This game has a fairly good combat saytem, which needs a bit practicing but its always fair. The controls are straight and responsive. I commend a gamepad, my xbox360 controller works well, but some gamepads seem to have issues. Its also playable with mouse/keybord, but the downside is that you cant rebind the keys.
The audio is ok i guess, the gameplay sounds are good but not that strong and a bit cartoonish and the music is very repetitious, i commend to turn it off and play something else in the backround, but maybe they will add new ones.
And last of all i absolutly adore the graphic style.
The cost-benifit ratio of this game is just amazing. And btw i dont get anything for writing this review, because it looks like it as I read it by myself ;-).
