Nein, nein, nein, das ist ja gar nichts! Wo ist denn die Herausforderung, die Spannung, die Abwechslung? Das Spiel ist einfach nur langweilig und frustrierend. Ich bin total enttäuscht . Finger weg davon!" Nein, das ist nicht fertig. Es gibt keine Progression, keinen Fortschritt, keine Verbesserung. Dieses Spiel ist sehr schlecht. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen.

Its been an OKish game so far.
I only paid 50 cents, and will have my money well spent after a cple of hours.
Which is the only reason i didnt give the game 3 thumbs down instead of one up.
Theres some basic features im missing, but for the price i didnt excpet too much.
For a start theres no proper menue.
What you get is 3 randomly placed sliders for your sound right there on the title screen...
The "options menue" that imo doesnt deserve that name, is kinda hiding under some obscure imma assume its a satanic symbol in the top left corner of the screen.
It doesnt even stand out enough to necessarily be able to identify it as a button you can click on.
Remember pixelhunting in certain point and click adventures back in the 80s or 90s?
And just in case you found it, theres nothing much to it sadly. Resolution etc.
Nothing much relevant going on there.
You can simply switch the menues and other text from russian to english if you prefer to do so.
Sadly the game doesnt have english voices. Again for that price i guess its hard to complain.
But id love to hear what those humans/reptiles that seem to be at war, are shouting at each others.
GFX
The visuals are ok, nothing special, but not bad either.
The usual 2D pixel looks, which suits me just fine.
And theres even a day/night cycle. (Im not sure yet if this has any effects on the gameplay, will update asap)
If theres something i dont like about the looks of the game, its the indicators for health and xp.
The way these are done is just something i never liked in any game.
You might have played games where the actual ammount of hp or such is kinda harder to see than necessary, bc visually you have a lot of decoration blocking your view, and only a small actual hp bar.
"Primal Rage" was such a title back in the 16 bit days iirc.
The one thing i generally dont enjoy about the game so far, is the music.
Was a quick decision from i think the 1st track, and i havnt heard ONE that i enjoy so far.
Which must be a personal record for me. And not only in this genre.
Now ofc this is a personal preference.
And i actually used to listen to what i would nowdays describe as far worse "music" than whats in the games soundtrack, but still...
Its just too much of a non-radio/niche/heavy mix of EDM/techno/whatever, and im rarely in the mood for that type of tunes these days. Its simply sounding far too potentially braincancer causing.
And literally manages to give me a headache after a while.
20yrs ago i wouldve told the DJ to quit playing music for childrens Bday partys, and bring on the hard stuff. More speed and bass. Nowdays i find it rather annoying.
Something a bit more relaxing or at least mainstream wouldve been nice.
UPDATE:
Im kinda startng to get bored by no idea lv 10 or something during runs.
You simply level TOO slow TOO early on.
Sure. the 1st level is faster than the 2nd and so on, but this feels just "Batman™"
On top of that at least my current run is TOO boring.
Im literaly semi afk. I only grab left over xp worth close to nothing once in a while...
In fact im 15 min into my 20? min run atm. lemme just go for a smoke.
Im kinda curious if ill manage to die, or at least gain another level in the next 5 minutes...
UPDATE:
6 min later im back, im still kicking it, have only gained about 75% of a single level,
and feel like just quitting and playing a better VSclone instead.
Or looking at the next best random wall for all i care :(
The "best" part about this entire mess? Since there seems to be no meta progression, i wont lose a thing.
Ill update as i play
(Well, preferably rather not...)
