REFUND!

OK game so far.
Bit of a mixed thing. Lots of nice features, some really annoying stuff too sadly.
(Remember its not a finished game, and since my review isnt final either.)
-The music sounds perfectly fine.
Sadly i rarely ever find that one word to perfectly describe these soudntracks
-The GFX are ok, and kinda give the game its own look that stands out a bit.
Its pretty much the usual 2D style i prefer over most 3d stuff.
In fact it looks a bit more "simplistic" than most others.
Not as in ugly, just from an earlier era/generation of games
You know more 8 BITish era rather 16 or 32.
Its kinda nice imo since i own enough simillar titles that already have those other 2D looks.
Things could be a BIT "larger" for my taste tho.
Dont know how else to describe it. Would almost like to simply zoom in a tiny bit.
Not that the sprites are too tiny. Things are just a bit smaller than i would play with a zoom feature.
-I dont have full XB controller support, only my sticks work. The pad doesnt.
I realized quite a few of these games dont offer both, and its always a turn off for me.
Been trying both pads, and KB+mouse, and atm. prefer a mechanical keyboard plus mouse over pads.
Im simply way faster when having to make quick inputs sometimes, and more precise.
Aside from the lack of comfy 360degree movement, ofc.,
but thats not enough to favor a pad for me after playing and testing both for a while.
-Dash rolls on the right mouse as a default when auto aim is also on by default seemed strange.
If nothing else, simply bc i dont even have a hand on the mouse all the time.
-I felt a bit short of weapons before unlocking additional ones. It felt as if i had 5 or 6 to chose from.
For my 6 weapon slots^^
(btw. you also get 6 seperate item slots while we are at it, so theres no lack of room to go crazy.)
-Map designs... On one hand i really like them, they can however get real annoying too, in situations where
you cant escape.
The 1st map as an example is basically a whole floor of some castle.
As such it has plenty of rooms you can wander around.
Its definately a nice change in comparsion to many titles more open spaces.
VS as example was way more open, and only had a cave / house or such here and there offering a bit of
combat in tighter spaces.
But every time you get stuck in this game, lose HP, or die bc of this map design, you might wish for less tight
spaces and deadends.
UPDATE:
Monsters can spawn too close, and often pile up in these small seperate rooms.
The early progression is way too slow.
You play a few moments, die, repeat.
I spent all day til i finally reached about the same point i wouldve reached after 1 or a handful of runs in about every similar title.
After that day, i had bonus gold/XP maxed in the meta progression, and only then really started to uprade anything relevant. After a 2nd day, i finally reached the point where i could comfortably say i had my 1st fun and good run.
Theres some balancing work ahead of the devs if the game is supposed to feel nice to play somewhere in the future.
Also didnt like to see that it seems this is basically the same game as another one they released which is also unfinished (2016)
So far so good, give it a try if you like bullet heavens/VSclones
Ill update again later.
