Though short, this casual point-and-click adventure is quite challenging, especially if played in "detective" mode. Even some of the puzzle mini-games range are quite difficult indeed, though some are very easy. On the other hand, the hidden-object scenes are all very easy, though nice enough.
The story is a bit more detailed and is portrayed better than many games in this genre, but the mediocre character animation and voice acting might dampen your enthusiasm. There's just not enough content in which to immerse oneself.
For what it is, the game is cohesive and satisfying. It would provide a short and somewhat challenging experience for fans of the genre.

It's quite a good hidden-object game. I liked the gameplay, music and puzzles. As for drawbacks there could be a greater variety of puzzles + a convenient map where you can jump from one place to another.

Nice game for a quick fix on a Sunday morning. Very easy. Didn't require deep thought, but it was a diversion from reality. Purchased in a bundle deal for all three GREED games. Hope the others are a little more challenging but if not, that's o.k. Not every game is ment to tax the brain.

Sort of on the fence with this one. Very basic adventure + seek and find style game with a fairly thin story. It takes a few hours to complete and for the most part the puzzles are decent. Not great but decent. A few times the game will tell you that you need an item, a hose for example, and you'll have on in your inventory but it won't be the right hose. Its a hose for another puzzle and the hose you need is probably behind a door you haven't figured out how to open yet. Some puzzle solutions can not quite make sense and a few times the game did devolve into try every item on everything you haven't figured out yet. I like Adventure seek and find games, especially ones that are easy to jump in and out of and this one's not bad. I'll probably never play it again ever but for the price, especially on a sale, it was worth it.

Uhh... Okay, so it's an older game... That's okay... But why do we need to carry 20+ items...? Also the items aren't instinctual on where you should use them either... Example... How am I supposed to know to throw a tile to get a part near a fan? I thought I had to use it to complete a puzzle or something... Or maybe throw it at the enemy...? Um... I also forgot where anything was... >.>
So what do you do? You use the HINT system. Why? Because it TELLS you the correct answer AND teleports you to the correct location! Don't want to search + ride the elevator a million times? You don't have to!
Wait, what about mini games? They are... They are... HARD. Have you ever had to enter a safe combination... WHILE THE OTHER NUMBERS MOVED AS WELL?! Now you know about it.
Question: Didn't the lab blow up and under investigation? How is everything still pretty much intact? Oh well.
And there is only one Detective on the case... That involves BILLIONS of dollars... Eh?
Okay I get it, H.O.G.: no ask questions about the story. Just stick one thing into another.
Just man... This one was... Already said it all above. Play it if you really want to do something different from your usual gaming stuff... LIKE ME!
P.S. That bullet would've so ricocheted off the walls/ceiling and killed a bat... Or the MC... Or Sara... But since when you pick up the bullet it turns into a magazine (the gun part where you stick bullets into) instead... It's okay. How does one shoot a magazine out through the gun itself? I'm curious. I wanna see!

Really poorly designed. You walk around with an inventory full of items, and when you use one it usually gives you three more. I'd be okay with this if the game wasn't heavily reliant on moon logic. I'm usually pretty forgiving of the hidden object genre because they're short, but I couldn't even be bothered to finish this.

This is one intense game. It is goooooood! I have burnt my eyeballs out bc I didn't want to quit.
Sooo many rooms to go and interact with plus secret, hidden areas up, down, and outside. You can't jump to locations on the map, but if you really want to jump, click on the hint and it will give you that option. Lots of HOS and puzzles that apply to the story.
Every time you think you have an item for an easy solution, wrong! You really have to think and keep moving around. This heroine is not above smashing glass and using crowbars and hammers instead of looking around for the right key, LOL. She's a real gate crasher, hahahaha!
I can't wait to play the next 2 games. So, buy it and cure the world!

Greed: The Mad Scientist is a decent HOG, taking 2 hours or less to complete. It is not overrun by hidden object scenes, has a good variety of puzzles, and tons of inventory items to collect and use, as well as other collectible items. The journal keeps track of all progress. Since there are no Steam achievements to be had, feel free to skip any puzzle or HOS without penalty. The hint system is generous, but there is no way to jump locations on the map, which makes it necessary to ride the stinking elevator a few times. There is a fleshed out story here, finished but yet open-ended.

Aging graphics aside, this is a fun game, but I wouldn't pay full price.
There are areas that, despite your best efforts, will require hints, because even if you're smart, you won't understand why you need certain items to complete tasks that other items could have been used for (example: using a piece of cracked tile to knock something out of a ceiling fan). Or why a bucket of water that's used for two tasks can only be picked up for one of them. And sometimes you use items from your inventory without even choosing them (using a pin to prick a saline back and then the flask in your inventory shows up to catch the dripping fluid).

Hidden objects, minigames, and a story. Oh my.
I don't play these types of games for the story, but it's nice to have one that's not embarrassing. If you are impatient with dialogue, you can skip it. Bonus. Not Hamlet, but not too bad.
The Hidden Object scenes have a refreshing level of quality that I've been missing lately. You don't tend to appreciate this until you've been afflicted with the garbage I've been seeing lately. May Jehosephat preserve you from shoddy HO scenes.
Many of the minigames involve multiple moving/rotating objects that you need to line up. If you move one in the right direction, another moves in the wrong direction. I generally hate this type because I'm too dim to figure out the logic behind the moves. These, however, were not so difficult that I couldn't brute force the solution quickly enough to avoid foul language and property damage.
At least one of the actions that you must perform in order to progress can be classified as a downright non-sequitur. I needed the hint. Absolutely. Take this with a grain of salt because, as I mentioned above, I may just be too dim to figure it out.
P.S.
Don't buy the HOG Bundle. Read game reviews and buy them separately. The bundle is no bargain.
