87 Aftermath: A Rolling Ball Game Reviews

The Event of 2187 left no survivors. In an instant, Earth became a barren wasteland - a lifeless rock floating aimlessly through space. Until 4129. That's when Zenith landed. Set years later, 87 Aftermath is the story of a nameless orbling on a quest to escape from Earth and return home.

Sadly cant recommend this game despite many good things: +) Easy to get started: Roll over blue squares to make all of them red to complete the level. +) Good precision platforming +) Ball customization https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3333714385 +)10 first levels are opened right from start https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3333714440 +) Change POV as you want. +) Controller support Story is a bit unclear though: In 4129 the Zenith landed. What is Zenith? "87 Aftermath is the story of a nameless orbling" When and why did it came on Earth? Did it surive 2187 until 4129? Did it came with Zenith? What for? The reason I cant recommend this game is that it does not save gameplay and does not show you what levels are already completed. Why?

This is a game where you control a ball and guide it through a bunch of short levels trying to turn all gray tiles to orange. Let's look over some positives first: -Encouragement of customization -Bonus content -Idea that can be cleverly expanded upon Now, let's look at the negatives: -Inconsistent level difficulty -Inconsistent level quality -Some mechanics are only in 1 or 2 levels -Exploit where you can jump on a wall infinite times -Boring visuals Is this the worst game I've ever seen? No. But I don't think it's worth your $10. The developer seems to be a good guy, looking at some of their other products, and can put quality into their games. This game just doesn't seem it though. The idea can definitely be expanded on, and improved. I hope to see some quality games come from this developer. It seems like you will be updating the game. I will keep this game and make a new review when I think it has better quality.
