Very untypical Indie game! I guess it’s somewhat a brain teaser? Took me a few mins to get the hang of it, after that a simple game with a few surprises.

This game is absolutely worth the price. It's compelling story-wise. The music is amazing. It's challenging whilst not being so difficult and nonsensical that it makes your brain hurt. I wont say anymore so I don't spoil it, but this game is incredible. 10/10

Minimal hybrid of rhythm, puzzle, experimental. While it's charming, I had to use the walkthrough to complete half of the puzzles. Some I might have stumbled upon eventually (there are some hints here and there), but some of them, even knowing the answer, I can't fathom how they are supposed to work.

Kinda neat, not really revolutionary, but clever in a sense. 5/10

Would scarcely be worth playing if free let along 30 - 99 cents. Hope you like very simple visual puzzles with a one button control scheme that is so achievement based that the game actually makes itself unplayable when you 100% it (yes I 100% it in about 20 minutes).

A cute short minimalist puzzle game One-button controls, relaxing music and cute art style Only sad note is that you must do many runs and some trial and errors for some of the photos (without using a guide coff coff), but the game loadings are SLOW PACED, so it might get frustrating when not being zen and cool For the price, is a steal. 20-30 minutes of relax.

An "alvéole" is a tiny hollow or depression -- the cell in a honeycomb, or small cavity in a rock, or in the jaw for a tooth. The game Alveole presents an exercise wheel as a small space the player is dropped into -- like the wheel for my hamster, but here for a person. Alveole is a short game worth puzzling through and trying to discover what it is and what it wants. If you enjoy figuring out goals that aren't explained then stop reading here and give it a play. If you don't mind mild spoilers about how it works, read on: Alveole is a (mostly!) one-button interface to a very simple "endless runner" style game, but one which always ends after jumping or stumbling through several obstacles on that hamster wheel. (It is tagged "walking simulator," in what seems to be a joke.) 16 spaces on either side of the wheel indicate available endings / outcomes / achievements, and reactive images hanging above the space give feedback or change as the avatar jumps or stumbles, giving hints about achieving outcomes. The game doesn't take long to play through, although a game guide may be helpful in unlocking several of the achievements (in particular one which breaks the one-button rule). The main figure art style is a white mocap-ragdoll that strongly recalls the Rickenbach and Frei games Plug & Play or KIDS, although conceptually Alveole is more similar to their game My Exercise. Alveole is thought-provoking as an experiment in interactive metaphor, but the constrained play isn't especially expressive. There is a limit to what the game can do with naming and illustrating various
7-digit binary numbers
in order to present them as mini-stories, and some of the achievement pictures / texts work better than others in connecting play patterns to outcomes. Where the game is more interesting is in the way it does a rare thing: zero replayability, in a manner somewhat related to various other experiments in "permanent consequences" beyond permadeath (in games such as Undertale, One Chance, or BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution). When you reach the end, you are truly done -- and in a way that feels wonderfully appropriate to the hamster wheel premise.
Aloe Vera
Before I begin this review I didnt thoroughly read the description which I never do, I like to go in fresh and see where it takes me So I might be a bit biased expecting more then this game could offer me I didnt play it for a long time as you can see its also a pretty short game. I didnt enjoy it too much though I've never seen a game with the minimalistic tag which is more true to its tag then this game. Your character stands in a wheel and runs. And the only mechanic you have is jumping. some spikes appear and you jump over them. Till you reach an ending. Fail and you reach another ending. Thats the whole game. I thought before I judged it too quickly too hard, let me check the achievements guide. If there is any story or special things. To see if there is more to the game then it seemed at that moment. And im gonna spoiler here all the endings/achievements so beware Almost every ending is as followed. Hit all the spikes. Jump over the first one and hit the others. Jump over the first 2 and hit the others. There is no story and really nothing going on. Not to be harsh but looking at a fish tank would give me more satisfaction. Game Aspects: Its really cheap, I bought it in the 2023 Summer sale for 0,23 euro. I like the beautiful black and white graphics simplistic but really clean. Summary: Usually the games I dont Recommend are buggy or lacking some specific things but with this game. I dont know if it can be improved, Its not buggy there is nothing wrong with it. It just doesnt really feel like a game. Its like a piece of art I just dont get but some people seem to enjoy. Its not expensive so its not ripping people off but its just not for me. Both simple and clever, Alveole took me a bit to figure out what do to and how to read the clues, but was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning with cup of coffee and it's nice piano melody.
