TL;DR : The.Thend.End is a bizarre journey. Not for everybody, but worth experiencing if you're curious.
Trigger Warning: This game isn't very graphic but does deal with serious topics such as self-harm and suicide.
The.Thend.End is one of the stranger games I've played. I was never sure if the game was being serious or just having a laugh at my expense. I usually like to give a synopsis of the story in these reviews but I think it would be a disservice to say anything more than what the developer has already said.
The art style is kinda strange but I guess that fits with the game.
This isn't really a game I "enjoyed" playing, but it stuck with me in a way that's hard to explain. It makes me feel ways about things. Considering how cheap it is, I'd say it's worth trying for yourself.

The first few minutes seem interesting, but the writing becomes an incomprehensible fever dream before long, not helped by the fact that the dialogue feels like it was written or translated by a non-native speaker. I did encounter dialogue options that appeared completely untranslated, but this could have been part of the game- again it is quite bizarre.
I really have no idea what most of the story was even supposed to be about. The visuals and some of the concepts are creative, but that doesn't make a good or complete game. Perhaps it works better in the native language. I don't feel like the game should be purchased in English in its current incomplete state.

I purchased this game and did not expect very much of it. I was pleasantly surprised that even at a fast pace that I played it at, I could still enjoy it in its full capacity.
The game has some technical quirks, but they are easily overshadowed by excellent storytelling, a unique art style, and the sheer wit of this developer.
Overall, I would summarize the pace of this game as relatively slow, even though there is nothing stopping you from running through it head first. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fairly unique story and setting. The game instantly drags you in and keeps immersed until the very end.
A great pick for this price, especially since it launched with a 40% discount.
