Love it & this is coming from someone who played 20 minutes of Observer before turning it off, so yeah, I like there to be shooting in my first person games, sorry.
For an Early Access game (which perhaps a lot of the negative reviews here seem to miss) it is a solid hour and a half story campaign and an endless horde mode that's, well, it's in the title lol
The game runs at a solid frame rate throughout, the shooting is fast and accurate and the atmosphere is on point.
That's not to say that it doesn't need work.
So what would I suggest?
The usual; more enemies, more guns, more interesting boss fights (I liked the cube and the dude in the garden, but the last one was just kinda meh)
Definitely need to flesh out Laura more, don't lose her as the main protagonist as there's scope for her f'sure.
I like how you have handled the hacking mini game, maybe have different ones for different situations, not sure, but I like what we have here.
As much as I loved the level design, there's some great visual stimuli to be seen here, the levels need some verticality. I don't expect Mirrors Edge but something more than Serious Sam, y'know?
Considering how bare bones it is now there was a good balance of dystopian cyberpunk tech and body horror atmosphere, so keep going with that, was not expecting the 3 little pigs ;) that section was awesome.
In all, I am happy to support this endeavour, and all I'd want is this, but more of it ;)

Is it worth it ? - Definetly no, the game is about 20- 30 minutes long, but the graphic is really nice.
- Enemies spawning around you, I am not a fan of.
Sadly my recorded video got corrupted or something ( there's only sound and the entire video is only the loading screen ), but the game is still fun, worth it maybe at its 90% off :)

its like a tech demo almost for a really bad lackluster shooting/puzzle game. it definetly has the feeling of ahobby project but pushes itself and the sloppy narrative forward with the awful premise of it feeling like its setting you up for something bigger, where as its poor zombie esque AI and shitty tanky stronger zombie dudes are really just piss poor obstacles that only prove challenging in the crappy arena mode which is you being trapped in a tiny box of a room killing dudes and doing quick time events for eternity
on a scale of 1 to 7
1 being don't even consider playing this as a joke
7 being guaranteed worth checking out
i give it a 1, for being a lame demo with some snappy aesthetics to try to cover its soggy cardboard consistency

Very fast FPS shooter / zombie mod in cybperpunk world. A lot of fun in endless mode and pretty solid single player. Shooting is smooth and satisfying. I had fun in single player but endless mode is where the real fun and challange begins. It actually requires player to think quick, shoot precisely and to have a good eye to hand coordination (hacking). Definitely worth the money and with updates in the future, with it's potential & mechanics, could possibly be a very fun shoot'n'hack multiplayer/co-op :)

2084 is a first person shooter game. This is an early game. It is still on hold status. The review only is written with some general impressions about the game. When I saw the title —at least for me— I thought I was going to play a game based on Boualem Sansal's book. But it was not like that, it's another shooting game. At the moment the game doesn't have a solid narrative. The temporary and open to change narrative is about a woman who's immersed in the world of videogames through virtual reality. Both her sphere and the game's backdrop are set in a world with a cyberpunk aesthetic. In other words, when the game is finished, we can glimpse the woman taking off her VR headset. Interrupted by thirst, she will get a drink and then put on her helmet and continue the game, the game she plays we play.
The game has two spheres or realms, so to speak: the world of the woman and of the game. It's not a bad idea to conceive two superimposed spaces. It offers that feeling of immersing ourselves in an introspective way. But here, being inside, it's just a game that distracts the character without knowing what its context or story is like. The art design borrows heavily from the usual cyberpunk visual: bright colours and neon lights. A frequent combination prevails between warmth and coldness. The locations are detailed and itemized, they have that shimmer of deterioration and crumple, with a fusion of organic textures and visual aspect linked to the technology. Illumination is adequate in each location. Although sometimes the lights are too dazzling. But it allows us to perceive those details that give that feeling of uncertainty and loneliness.
Regarding the gameplay, it should be noted that we carry a weapon —I think only one— with that futuristic design while the animation consists of energy shots. The enemies act as a kind of zombies and test dummies. There is not much variety of them. They don't have good designs but it makes up for that need to shoot something, to use that energy weapon. Of course they will cause damage. In our passage it will consist of solving some puzzles to continue advancing, we'll frequently run into those enemies. There will not be some checkpoints; but many times we'll have to restart the level because of damage of the enemies. The game has a simple HUD where it shows the amount of life, stamina and ammo. Something simple allows us to see our status.
The idea of the game is to hack. This mechanic is interesting, since it consists of pressing certain buttons (adws, those of movement) according to rhythm of the request and always getting it right. We press a button direction at the exact moment as the time bar runs out. If we fail, it only restarts; it also increases its difficulty. Many of these actions depend on the need to advance in the game: open doors, traps, boxes with supplies, use of some guard turrets. The proposal is interesting. It brings back memories similar to the game called Hard Reset or Observer. Although when we need that ability, sometimes we are surrounded by enemies. That don't show up in many times in a timely manner. Other times it seems to work in our favor. It's likelihood that this ability can be improved and is not a repetitive action.
The game is atmospheric, curious, but lacking in an engaging narrative. Without having many save points the game becomes tedious and unappetizing. Well, it lacks a well-done soundtrack. Only in some intense moments is electronic dark ambient music heard. The music is quite monotonous, it's coalesced with the mixture of environmental-industrial sounds. That makes the game repetitive. There is nothing more to add to the game. Like I said, it's interesting, but over time it becomes routine. I recommend you try the game, buy it at a discount. Hopefully the developers wake up for the progress of this game.

Very awesome game. Fun little play through - only about an hour and a half long. So if you have some time you need to kill and don't want to get fully immersed into a video game, this is definitely a game for you. Not much of a story, and if you are able to shoot a gun you can easily win!

DEVELOPMENT ON THIS IS HALTED
just not very good.
2 levels, 2 'bosses'
3 main enemies - all the same model, just different animation / scale.
1 gun - not very satisfying.
1 grenade - zero impact.
the visuals are quite nice if you like grimey cyberpunk with some bodyhorror but that's just 100% of the assets being taken straight from >Observer.
Charging ~9 bucks for a ~40 minute, essentially concept-demo is not okay in my book.
glad I got this dirt cheap in a sale.
On top, the game is 'abandoned'. no future updates planned - all future work / concepts will go into a different game.

2084 is a 2018 game which borrows heavily story and graphic wise from the ‘Observer’ franchise. In some aspects it could be considered an official sequel though developers have hinted that they plan to take the franchise in a completely different direction with an upcoming PVP ‘The Raid’ due to be released in 2022.
The game was created within 72 hrs by Feardemic https://www.feardemic-games.com/ a subsidiary company of Bloober placing themselves under a challenging time restraint to simply see if it was possible to achieve. This is why the game is short (30 Minutes), not much on offer (3 Levels and an Endless wave mode) and very little to zero follow up correspondence from developers as to what appears to be 2 broken/bugged achievements, ‘Speed Presser’ and ‘Die Like the Rest’.
You follow Laura Lofi Junior researcher for Chiron incorporated who learns that the now dismissed architect of a game which simulates the tenement building in the original ‘Observer’ game has changed the source code in specific places to reveal a hidden message within. Your job is to help Laura play through the game, dispatch the nanophage zombies and hack whatever you can on the way to assist you. You will take on 3 bosses in the game, the tenement server itself, A heavily shielded version of Janusz and the nanophage champion.
To be brutally honest the game is WAY overpriced for what essentially is only 72 hours’ worth of work. Would it not make more sense to lower the price to bare minimum in the hopes of reaching a greater audience? The second thing is the lack of commitment to a product they sell. Customer feedback here is as wilderness as the Serengeti, both in discussion forum and direct email and lastly the leader boards are obviously just a showcase for some hackers. Since the developers have moved on and there is zero deterrence with anti-cheat, it definitely doesn’t fill me with faith that they are planning to make a PVP game. That’s just a, for certain, disaster in the making.
However, the game itself is fun and worthy of a buy when it goes on sale. It also contains some nice new NPC enemies that they created and lets you take a look at a handful of rooms that were not accessible in the original ‘Observer Game’ my personal favourite being the hopscotch room. Sorry I would write more, but I challenged myself to a time restraint to see what I could write in 7 Minutes 20 Seconds in tribute so this will have to do…

this game is literally just the fantastic sci-fi horror game Observer converted from a tense, moody investigative game to an asset flip FPS. I don't mean that it's similar - I meant that they actual levels of this game are identical to Observer.
If the thing that appeals to you in the description of this game is the grim cyberpunk setting - play Observer. If the thing that appeals to you is the FPS element, play literally any of the absolute bounty of entries into the genre releasing lately. If something else appealed to you - it's not in this game.
This feels like it was created in a weekend. Charging any price at all for it is absolutely criminal. The best thing about this game is that it gives me a real easy answer should I wonder "what's the absolute worst game I've played in recent memory?"

It's a demo and overpriced ... The game is so short and is supposed to be early access.
What there is , is promising. Question is will it EVER be updated?
Cannot recommend, since the game seems dead.
