It's a good game. Great hopa.
I only give it a negative review because they make so much advertisement for their games. Everytime you start the game you get a screen "click here for more games" and even when you finished the game.

it is a enjoyablle game to play, strategy guide is very helpful though wish it would stay where you have left off playing but it doesn't. that is the only drawback to this game

This was a really good HOG. I've been getting bored with them lately, being too much the same or some are too easy or short. This was a good length, had a lot of depth to the story. It was very magical, traveling through portals to different worlds powered by crystals and things like that. If you're into that kind of thing you'll appreciate this game. HO scenes were good, didn't have to get up close with my reading glasses to find obscure things. some were finding hidden things, and some were placing things and some were using one object to uncover the next. Puzzles were good. Most about medium level, some were too easy and there were two that took a little while. There is a map that shows active areas and allows fast travel. If you don't use fast travel I think you'd spend a lot of time clicking around. This is definitely one of the best I've played in the last six months.

The point-and-click hidden object The Legacy series quickly surpassed Lost Lands as my favorite, based mostly on the Forgotten Gates installment which is pretty darn brilliant. This one is merely OK, recommended as more of a pleasant time-passer. I quickly lost interest in the story line but what saved this is the as-always great formula, based on the multi-part map which can show available actions and transport you to wherever, depending on what you've selected in the difficulty modes. Graphics were slipping a bit here: 3d graphics a bit blurred, not finely drawn in a number of scenes, monochrome scenes elsewhere. The story is lame in spots, ending up where you simply may not care. Morphing objects and collectables were present--great! Mini games and hidden objects are fine, ranging from easy to a couple devilishly challenging. The achievements make this more worthwhile. A strategy guide is always on-screen which can be convenient.
Things were slipping a bit here compared to previous--maybe cost cutting? Hope everything's OK.

I've not finished this one yet, but I will say I'm having fun. FIVE-BN Games is quickly surpassing the other popular point and click HOG company for fun gameplay and surprising quality for the genre.

Unfortunately this is probably the worst FiveBN game I've played. The puzzles are fine, the usual suspects are here. The writing, voice acting and story however are just terrible. I mean I know none of us are here for the story or the acting, but usually it can just fade into the background. Just a veneer of motivation to swing from puzzle to puzzle is all I want. And yet, the story is so convoluted, the writing so bad, that it pulled me out of my puzzle-induced chill. At first, it was just noticing that for some reason the main character doesn't use contractions ("I will" rather than "I'll", etc). Then the dialogue and the puzzles started to have the wrong words for things. By the end it seemed like it had been written in another language and google-translated wholecloth. You'd think that was enough, but no! Add to bad writing some voice actors who have the most bizarre cadence I think I've heard; emphasising the wrong words, weird pacing, it was just awful.

Pretty decent for a HOPA! I really enjoy the ones that take more than 3 hours to complete, and this one took me about 5 hours, so I consider it well worth the price. The story was interesting and some of the puzzles were quite unique. The graphics aren't as dazzling as some, but still good! I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves hidden object puzzle adventures!

Quite a good game for the genre. In addition to being a good game, I loved that the artwork was not the usual blurry watercolor so common on these games. It was crisper and thus more pleasing.

Excellent game, definitely better than the current Artifex Mundi offering (Queen's Quest 5, even though it was good), especially if you like more of a challenge but still want lovely artwork and music, and well-designed features.
I still prefer the protagonist from the Lost Lands series, but this game - third in The Legacy series - is at least on par with many of the games from that long-standing favourite.
Pros: Very pretty, solid & easy-to-use interface, challenging without being too hard (although I never get 100% on these games on my first run-through because of the puzzle-based requirements). Interesting story, as long as you don't mind a mish-mash of cultures (in this case with a bit of a Viking/Norse (?) overlay).
Cons: The protagonist still sounds too immature to me - I mean, she's done this twice before, and she's *still* shocked and dismayed to end up going through old gates to other worlds? Actually, I guess shocked and dismayed isn't unreasonable, but does she have to sound so "oh no, whatever shall I do now?!" about it? Also: there are some (mostly minor) language errors, though none in the puzzles. [To the devs: to "tighten" the rope bridge is *not* the same as to "bring it closer"; that was a frustrating.]
Note: For me it's a con, but all these games leave me wishing for better instructions for some of the puzzles.
Final: This one was worth it for me to buy when it came out (had small release discount, plus bundle discount). Definitely worth adding to your hidden object / casual adventure library.
