Been looking for a shooter/action rogue-type game recently & this one had a cool promo video, so I decided to give it a shot. So far, there are some kinks to work out but it's a pretty fun game. I'm not sure how many levels there will be when all's said and done, but the difficulty definitely increases with each level...just ran into the turrets I saw from the promo video on my latest run & they got me good. You can shoot em & shut them down for a bit though. There is also AI respawning which can make things more challenging but also good for the credits.
The atmosphere & background music are cool; gives a kinda 80's-infused cyberpunk feel (same goes with the fonts & menus).
There are different types of bad guys (are they prison guards? - not fully sure from the story yet) & more types show up as you progress levels.
The loot drops are nice & visible + seem to be random, so you never know when or what you are getting. I like the credit & kiosk system + the choice between getting stuff to help my current run or buying the tokens, which unlock new guns & other upgrades, for future runs.
Picked this game up on a whim and am enjoying it so far. It's new & in early access so we'll see what the developer has in store for the future.

It has just enough content to look good from its steam store promotional images and videos
There are a few good ideas in the game like the generated kiosks that can only take 1 purchase per kiosk visit and what they did with the colour and lighting but there are far more that's lacking from the game, and yes, I know it's early access.
Things felt sorta just slapped together all the way through like how the signs were 90° off the right angle that they should be and never set the right signs for the signs that the buildings were advertising themselves to be for.
This game doesn't feel that it is at the level of development that it should be to enter early access.

The AI are braindead and do not hunt you once you hide behind something.
Rather, they just freeze in place and do nothing.
They're also flame retardant, apparently, and will just stand still in a thick flame.
The aliens make dog noises and your character shifts between, what sounds to be, multiple voice actors dependant on the action he is taking such as taking damage.
The font's they use are very inconsistent when comparing the HUD to items dropped by enemies and the text used in the god awful map.
Also there's an annoying roblox girl and random unexplained sounds that occur when you clear or fail levels.
I have no idea why this is currently $12AUD
