For a $1 game, this is pretty good. It's challenging and keeps me coming back for more. Would recommend to anyone who has a dollar to blow.

This developer has great programming skills and a penchant for classic older arcade titles. i cannot wait to see what they make next. a nice little game. simple, fun. what games should be.

I think it's great. I've never played the game it's a love letter to but on its own, it feels hard and the range feels unlucky sometimes but not in a way that feels BS or unfair. You really have to think on your feet sometimes.

Superb game in a laundry list of great games by this dev. If you think you might like to try a new high-score run and gun platformer, then this is the game for you. It's simple, yet frustratingly difficult, but don't let the chunky screenshots fool you, this is a very well-polished gem and well worth the price

The game is 100% worth it for $1. Yeah the ZX Spectrum inspired visual isn't much to look at, but it make things super readable in a fast paced game. I also really like the crisp sound effect, which made shooting dudes much more satisfying.
Gameplay-wise, I really liked how complexity and challenge came from a very simple set of mechanic. There are 3 types of enemies (each come in 1-hit and 2-hit category), melee guys and bomb guys that reduce your health bar, while bullets are one-hit death unless you have armor (you always get an extra one at each new level). In practice, these distinct enemies have different priorities, which combined with jumping between 2 platforms, the covers in the randomly generated levels, and the death timer, means you have to make a lot of quick decisions and play it fast and loose.
Another thing I liked is how, like a good arcade game, Rolling Thunder is very easy to pick up and immediately have fun with, despite its difficulty.

Great game. Relentless action, and difficulty. I'm not sure it is always fair: In particular grenade chuckers demand immediate attention which you may not be able to spare. But it doesn't matter that much because you don't particularly see new content by progressing through levels, and the layouts are random each time. The game is just about trying to get better. The first time I made it to level 2 I felt incredible triumph... I still can't consistently do even that, though.

This is a wonderful homage to Rolling Thunder! I REALLY like how the characters are one solid color while everything around them is more detailed.
However, I do think more variety with the enemies could be great for this game, as well as more stage themes and even boss battles! I also think there should be a continue option after you die, for players that just want to see what there is.
I'd love to see you do more of these Arcade inspired games! :D
