TLDR: Basically somewhat a mix of Slime Rancher, Animal Corssing / Stardew Valley and some Forager. It's a fun game with easy mechanics, but a bit of grinding - at least in the beginning. Runs smoothly on Linux/Ubuntu with Proton.
Longer review: The game has nice graphics and a great tutorial / quests to get the player to learn about everything. There is a lot to do directly from the start and also a lot to discover in the world. I really like the possibility to decorate everything rather freely and with a lot of variety. Depending on the play style the game can be somewhat grindy, but automation is unlocked at a steady rate and reduces the grind quite substantially. In general, the gameplay is exciting and fun. However, the controls are rather often a bit clunky, e.g. while you perform an action (right mouse button) and try to walk at the same time, the action is aborted and you have to let go of the mouse and click again (this is annoying while terraforming). In general, some controls for keyboard and mouse are also somewhat unusual for me, but I managed to learn the important ones quickly. The only thing I'm missing is a key to do a scan which I am so far only able to do via the Menu on the T-key (forgot the name for the menu).
All in all, I'd compare this game somewhat to Forager in terms of automation, progress & terraforming feeling, somewhat with Animal Crossing / Stardew Valley in terms of housing mechanics and farming and somewhat with Slime Rancher in terms of creatures and the production of some resources as well as the story concept. So if you like any of these games above or ideally any combination, the game could be interesting for you.

This game surprised me with how much fun it is!
It has a similar creature collection aspect to slime rancher in that the base monster morphs into other things based on what you feed it and can be evolved, and also has specific care requirements. This on it's own is fun if you like catching them all but the town building and automation aspects on top of it, as well as life sim style villager rep gains, really makes a well rounded game with an addictive gameplay loop.
The multiplayer experience is pretty great, although the one frustration I've had is having a conversation fail to start because someone in the group is holding something - a pretty minor gripe. The controls also take a bit of getting used to and aren't always the most intuitive, but you adapt to them pretty quick.
Will be sinking many more hours into this!

I enjoy this game. It is very cute, the concept is nice and the little monsters you collect are adorable. Definitely more for single player than multiplayer for a few reasons, but I will get to that. Having played with friends for a few hours I can say it has it's charm. However I have a few more gripes with it than I do praises.
-Firstly the forced togetherness to progress the game makes it very annoying to talk to the NPCs when everyone wants to do their own thing and is at different points across the map. This is fine for single player, but for multiplayer it forces everyone to stop what they are doing and come back to the NPC.
- Being forced to build around veins and resources with no ability to move resources closer to the main base without using the tubes system makes things look cluttered kinda ruins the world in my opinion. (If I wanted to play Satisfactory I would play satisfactory)
-The game spoon feeds maybe too much to the player. Instead of figuring stuff out on our own and being rewarded for it, every little thing has an NPC tutorial like quest for it. I guess it's cool if you're five and this is baby's first game, but constant tutorial island style gameplay isn't fun. Especially when things can be discovered just by exploring the map, and making Morp enclosures for different Morps.
- Restartability is abysmal, as the statements above make it so that there is only one way to play the game without having to go through the hours of tutorials, NPCs and one by one unlocking of things that older players have already unlocked with another group.
I want to like this game, and play it with my friends. With how it is right now, there is so much that makes it either annoying to play or un-enjoyable with multiple people. Freedom to explore and discover without major NPC tutorials for everything would be nice for future updates, otherwise this game is more suitable for single players only.
