Okay here we go, first english review of this game. Flan is a story about a little girl who finds herself in a cold and hostile world, upon being cornered by some ghosts, a black knighted... "thing", comes just in time to save her. They form a sort of symbiotic relationship, he cannot move without being close to her, and she cannot fight for herself without him. The story is a simple, but still interesting one. What I absolutely love about this game is, other than the memory crystals that you find throughout the game (which reveals insight on the girl's life and upbringing), it is told completely without words. It is a perfect example of "show don't tell". The story is again, simple, but for the duration of this game (almost 2 hours), it kept me hooked, and there were some nice revelations and twists during it, despite being so short. As for my complaints, I didn't look too much into the settings so take this with a grain of salt but; -The game ran on windowed mode -Despite choosing english as a language, I still had chinese/japanese writings pop up -It is somewhat clunky to control, but you get used to it This game is marketed as a solo action game, but its more of an exploration game with very light fighting elements. It says it's best played alone, which is a good way to experience its challenge, but it can also make a fun impromptu co-op game with a buddy. Overall, I really enjoyed this game, along with its themes, such as cold and hostile world, the "big daddy and little sister" gameplay, and the
bosses being made from the girl's nightmares
TL;DR, is good game, but still needs some polish 7/10
