This game is a good time killer but has deceived me by its EXAGGERATED difficulty.

Not good.
#1 for a bullet hell the game is insanely slow and easy. I survived for 5 minutes my first try and just ended up killing myself (in game) on purpose because I got bored. Its possible that I just got a "lucky" set of easy patterns, but I had zero interest in continuing to play in the hopes that maybe it would get slightly harder.
#2 Frame rate, for whatever reason it seemed like maybe i was playing the game in slight slow motion. It looked like it was locked to 45ish FPS, and the gameplay trailer for the game looks to play way faster and smoother than what i was actually experiencing in game. For reference Im running windows 10, gtx 1060 6gb, i5-7600k, 144hz G-Sync monitor
I tried setting my monitor to various refresh rates and resolutions and it didn't help. The game has no settings menu as far as I can tell. And tbh even if the game ran at 2x speed it wouldnt be much more difficult just because of how simplistic the patterns are.
On the + side, the game looks like it could maybe be a decent party game with a group of friends, even then it is still way too easy IMO unless you made it into a drinking game lol.

This game is great fun! As a one player game, it gives a fast and satisfying arcade experience, ideal for those moments when you don't have much time to play or don't want to think too much about what you're playing. However as a couch multiplayer experience this game SHINES! The game sessions are very quick and intense, with a nice variety in the levels that you are presented with, and they are all very fun to play (although some of them I'd actually have liked to play almost exclusively - I'm looking at you "Civil War"!). If you want an idea of what to expect, think competitive multiplayer wario-ware. One of the only negatives I have though is the lack of customisable competitions... Party mode is limited to a random selection of levels, and I would really have loved the ability to create my own selection for playing, as - like the before mentioned Civil War level - I found some of the levels really begged me to play them again and it was frustrating sometimes to not have them come up often. That's a very minor complaint though, and I'd recommend this game to anyone that's looking for a fun party-game that doesn't take forever to play or require hours of practice and learning.

ive always loved the original version and this is a huge imrovement!
i do miss the old, mobile version's aesthetics, perhaps an "old-school filter" could be added in the future?

For the $0.62 I paid for this, it was worth it.
I wouldn't say it's worth full price, but it has that "one more try" thing going for it. I'll probably put in another 20-40 minutes before I give up.
It's fun to discover the different boss attacks and learn to dodge them.
I was a child of the 70's and spent my adolescence in 80's arcades, so the way I think about it is that as long as a game gives you the same play you'd expect from the same number of quarters in the arcade, it's an easy Thumb's Up.

When I started this game and looked at the clock at some point, it was already an hour later. Quite an addictive and simple little game. Get as far as you're able while dealing with any 1 of several types of obstacles. Each type lasts anywhere from 5-15 seconds. The audio fits well with it. There are also 50 Objectives to give the player a sense of progression besides just score chasing. In addition to this, there's a local co-op option with some unique modes as well. Maybe not quite worth it at the full $5 price, it's a good deal on sale.
