Rehydrated is a faithful and worthy remaster of the original Battle For Bikini Bottom. Rehydrated is simply gorgeous and everything I could ever ask for in a Battle For Bikini Bottom remaster. I highly recommend this game to people who can't get their hands on the original version of BFBB.
My only complaints with Rehydrated are these nitpicks:
- The 3 main bosses are easier to fight and the game gives you visual prompts to give you hints on what to do, the original did not have these.
- Spongebob/Patrick/Sandy repeat the same voice lines way too often when picking up shiny objects or other objectives. This can be quite annoying.
- Mr Krabs still has the different voice actor that's not from the show. This was something I'd hope they change for Rehydrated.
Other than these nitpicks, Rehydrated is a fantastic remaster and a remaster other developers should be inspired from. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

i never experienced the original spongebob game. however, now that it returned, im grateful to have played it. the look of everything is pretty charming n retains the style of the series' best period while still being fresh. this is everything a remake oughta be, n i was happy to have it.

Im just going to start off saying, I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!. a cult classic from my childhood that is a must play in my opinion. the classic spongebob humor is riddled all over the game, and a great soundtrack to boot. they like to teach you the game mechanics by level design instead of just straight up telling you (most of the time) with all the characters in mind which translates to very smooth and uninterrupted game play, and the spots they put the collectibles are pretty clever, almost guaranteeing you will be back to those levels later if you plan on collecting them all, the boss fights are a little bland except for the final one but they don't last too long so it doesn't feel like a drag. some enemy types can be very annoying but once you have all of spongebobs power-ups you'll be able to snuff out any foe. Finally i got the chance to relive one of my favorite games, AND 100% it aswell

the game is a faithful and vibrant remaster of the beloved 2003 platformer. as a classic collectathon, it delivers a fun and nostalgic experience filled with charm, coluorful environments, and fan-favourite characters. The platforming and level design hold up surprisingly well, offering a satisfying loop of exploration and item collection.
while the game suffers from occasional bugs and the combat remains fairly simple throughout, these issues don’t overshadow the overall enjoyment. recommended for a short playthrough if you enjoy 3D platformers

Who doesn’t love a little spunkbodge? It’s an amazing, very fun game that’s easy to complete. I will say there’s a bug with the Steam achievements on 100% completion, but there’s an easy workaround posted in the guides section on Steam. I would definitely recommend it. It’s a super fun platform/ collectethon.

An amazing childhood game that was remade for the modern age. Can't wait to play the spiritual successor to this and any other games they decide to put out in the SpongeBob universe.

Interesting game concept. Children that love the series would love this game!
Movement in this game felt clean and reliable with smooth, highly responsive controls.
Combat was very simple throughout the game. There was only couple new mechanics introduced to the game once you have all characters. That leaves u with very few choices skill wise. When fighting enemies most of the time you have one skill that will work on the enemy. Just a very straightforward combat.
Level Design was decently delivered. I must admit that frustration when attempting to jump outside level was high as there were several area where you jump and get stuck and you have to restart the game. Why not block these areas in the firstplace? These boundaries interrupted the natural flow and made exploration feel restricted.
The ability to switch between characters like SpongeBob, Cindy and Patrick was interesting game mechanic. Character switching was more of a pacing tool than a system that introduced real game-play changes. It would be nice if you could complete levels with all characters and switch between all of them? Possibly add more characters like Squidward and Mr Crabs ext. Giving player multiple ways to complete level instead of forcing them into one character that has the ability required to complete the level.
Visually - The game looked good for the year it came out. It Represented atmosphere of Bikini Bottom by exaggerated animations, authentic environments.
Collecting Spatulas and Socks - I loved exploring the game and finding all collectables. The game gave no hints to where to find some socks which i do not like. But overall it's not that hard to get 100% - 15 hours.
Sound - The voice acting made myself reinforce that feeling of being part of the story, making me feel like I was playing through an episode. It gave me a a nostalgic connection as i watched all the series when i was a kid. The attempt for some humour within dialogues was nice but it did not hit me.
Overall i think this game is great for children and worth trying. Rating: 8/10

As a platformer, this is a really fun game. However, the combat really has not aged well and the game can feel quite buggy at times
