Really fun game, if you like Tower Defense games you'll enjoy this one, it's fun to play with a group and it's pretty unique on his own way

BTD6 is the perfect tower defense game, while it offers many hours of game time, completion-ist will find lots of to do, such as, achievements, Hero's/skins for the hero's. and 13 medals for each of the 77 and counting. You will receive a black border for unlocking all the medals on a map. BTD6 offers Cross-Progression play at your desktop or on the go with mobile and be able to access your account and pick up where you left off. A new rogue like game mode is actively being worked on, enjoy the base game and think you want to expand your BTD6 game play I would recommend this add-on. Their are active events such as odysseys, boss battles, races, etc. These events offers trophies a free currency obtained simply by completing the events, trophies unlock variety of rewards. If you are looking for a tower defense game that you can play here or on the go, and wanting to learn strategies to beat the hardest game modes or attempt your highest round, I highly recommend BTD6.

It's been YEARS and they still refuse to do ANYTHING about the constant networking issues. Games will drop for no reason at all despite other multiplayer games with the same other players still working just fine. They refuse to refund any of the million microtransactions that they sell in the event of a disconnect or network error, but they sure do love coming out with more microtransactions.

Legends DLC and the recent updates that came alongside it are frustratingly bad. Way too many microtransactions and pushes towards spending money for a game targeting "all ages".

While I enjoy the game very much, appreciate the continued work the devs have put in, and have more play time than listed on steam due to previous mobile playtime, I do think that some of the recent content has fallen short. If you're thinking about buying the new dlc, I recommend you check out bloons monkey city instead: while technically not a roguelite, between the passive upgrades you can do and the areas outside your town being procedurally generated but using a set rotation of maps, it's a better product you can get for free. I do still recommend this game, but I advise waiting for a sale and skipping on the dlc

Love the game but nothing more frustrating than the connection issues getting to the last level on a boss bloon or chimps map Co-op and then the server crashing, happened far too many times

Recently a roguelike DLC game-mode was released for purchase. Way too much $ for basically re-used assets and a rushed-for-bucks feeling of a "DLC". Otherwise, good game to grab for sale and leave in the background while you do anything else.

Bloons TD 6 historically has been a pretty neat game, but I can't recommend you get into it at this stage because it feels like it's getting worse over time. New mode or feature releases are often underdeveloped, undercooked, and quickly abandoned because Ninja Kiwi doesn't want to make fundamental changes to the mode. Modes are often too grindy and/or have some fundamental issue that makes the gameplay lack variety It happened with Contested Territory, it happened with Map Editor, it happened with Boss Rush, and now it's happening with Rogue Legends, which is more sad when you have to pay $10 for it. When the multiplayer oriented modes are mainly the brunt of this, it also hurts the community. Shortcomings in Contested Territory, Boss Rush, Map Editor, Ranked Boss categories and the quality of curated live content in addition to the shortcomings of tower balance and underwhelming map releases have burnt off a significant portion of the community. The playerbase overall is still healthy, and there's a few things to do, but you can definitely feel the loss of certain community figures. There's a small live content element but that part has especially degraded. The daily challenges are not amazing, with a mix of stuff you beat in 30 seconds to stuff where you have to use an incredibly obscure stalling glitch and then wait 5 minutes because there's zero actual curation involved. Featured community challenges, odysseys and maps are horrendous (there's literally a "free win" challenge featured in the browser right now). Official odyssey quality has taken a hit and boss events and races are okay but definitely hampered by the quality of the bosses themselves and the variety of ranked categories (why does Dreadbloon always have to be least cash?) Future prospects for BTD6 are rather grim. Ninja Kiwi has committed themselves to releasing a steady stream of paid Legends DLCs bi-annually, which if Rogue Legend's poor balance and ten hour runs are anything to go by, will likely both not be as great of contributions to the game as they could be and will also be a massive time sink for the company, forcing them to focus on the DLCs to get them out in a timely manner while having to then correct the technical debt the DLC's create (the game has crashed like, three times today for no reason). The content that would still be mostly guaranteed to come to the base game, like Maps, which have been very uninteresting as of late, balance changes, which aren't amazing for previously stated reasons, and skins, which i don't care about, aren't going to satiate players, and Ninja Kiwi hasn't proven they care about making adjustments and fixes to existing modes that would let them engage players without having to do big content drops. BTD6 is not at the end of its lifespan, but this is probably a pretty good place to get off the bus if you've been on it, and if you haven't been on it yet, not a great place to start.

I'm not liking the direction this game is taking. First, there was the double cash boost DLC, then a DLC that outright lets you skip part of the game, and now a rushed rogue-like DLC that mostly recycles assets from the base game. Modders have added better content for free. I can't recommend it right now unless NK stops with the EA-style microtransactions.

This game is starting to become micro-transaction hell. It's true that they have given us numerous free updates, and with those updates we were given new towers, heroes, maps, and maybe more I don't know about. But at the same time, we are starting to get charged for what should be basic game play features or even QoL additions. The new map editor luckily lets you grind in game for it, but for new players you have to either choose a map editor you could have fun with or a hero that could help with game play. It doesn't help that both the map editor and heroes cost monkey money, which is a purchasable currency. But then there are the other examples like three times fast mode(To speed up tracks an extra tier) and even something as simple as a double cash mode. Which from what I understand only doubles in map currency, not even monkey money. The double cash mode costs $18, the triple speed mode costs $7, the game costs $14. This is not acceptable even with the amount of free content. Even the stuff we can get without purchasable currency is a weird daily/weekly grind. I'm talking about the trophy shop. I wish I could just grind a bunch of different options in a day, but from my experience you can only grind timed challenges that rotate and give you a reward once. This feels like a very unnecessary limit as it hinders cosmetic process for no reason. And now with their newest DLS, Rouge Legends. This is $10, so even double cash mode is worth more than this. But besides that, this DLC offers a new rule set, a new explore-able map(You get to explore it, not play on it), and it gives you unlock-able rouge like artifacts that change how you play the game. No new tower, no new hero, no new playable map. The fact they charge $10 for a new rule set and artifacts is ridiculous. It's starting to feel like they are attaching high dollar amounts to any little thing. I even had the option to purchase the new tower that came out a bit ago. But it feels like there is a cult around this game, justifying them putting high price tags on small things. Calling you stupid for even questioning price, pointing to the free things they have given us. I enjoyed this game and it is fun, and I highly appreciate the free updates, but there are so many micro transactions or a BIG amount of grind. I'd rather pay for content at a reasonable price than get free updates but seemingly random features get held until you pay more than they are worth, on top of the option to pay for just about anything in the game(New towers, more monkey money for heroes and more, random modifiers like money and speed, and even Monkey Knowledge). Not to mention, having to pay(or grind a lot) for the map editor and then having to pay even more for extra props. If then micro transactions can go down and become more fair, then I highly recommend this game. But as far as I see, it's only going to get worse. I'd recommend for new players to stay away unless they want to grind a lot or pay even more money.
