Beating Spitkiss requires precision and quick reaction, just like spitting on people in real life. It's short, moderately difficult and fun. The story is a pure cuteness overload. Can't recommend enough to those who enjoy killing a couple of hours with adorable brainteasers.

Use the mouse or the left stick on your controller to aim (Angry Birds style) and shoot. The goal is to spit on your uhh...loved one, who is sitting at the end of each level waiting for it. Obviously, spikes kill your saliva (duhh). Also, your saliva can hug walls, it can bounce on some surfaces, and it can change direction with the wind, among a couple other gameplay elements. It is more a simple puzzle game with some light timing requirements than it is a platformer, because all you can do to control the spit is to aim and shoot. It takes a bit more than 1h to beat the main story, which is fairly easy. There are challenges to play afterwards, but the challenge levels are annoying to me because there's very little leeway to aim and shoot. A quirky little game that looks charming and fits a low energy Sunday evening.

Spitkiss is a nice puzzle game that takes a little thought. Sometimes, you think the puzzles are impossible and 3 minutes later, you solve the puzzle. Rewarding.

A short platforming game with lots of charm from the aesthetics. I'm really surprised by how intuitive the controls are (on the controller) and also by the soundtrack composed by Troels Nygaard as well; it really complements the style the game's representing.

A lovely tale of loving two people with incredibly cute illustrations. The gameplay is fun, and the difficulty and way the gameplay elements are designed match what's happening in the story in very smart ways. Some levels are infuriatingly hard, but then again, so is loving multiple people at the same time :)

Great casual, short platformer with an original core mechanic. The post game content poses an interesting challenge though, as three difficult to reach collectibles are added in every level and a few extra levels are unlocked. The soundtrack and the comic strips between levels are beautiful. And you play as spit. Enjoyed every minute, strongly recommended!

My personal feelings about the subject matter of this game aside, the actual game is easy to get into and fun to play, only struggling a little bit on the more frantic levels. You have to control your spit by flinging it in different directions off of walls or obstacles. There are some extra hard levels after finishing the game and you can "replay" the game again collecting some extra things in each level which increase the difficulty (though there are no achievements for that). There, the controls start to lose their luster because you actually need to be on point with your timing and precise, which often doesn't work very well because this is a game primarily designed for touchscreens. The story is cute enough, though I don't think the facets of Polyamory can be handled with enough nuance to cram it into a short one hour game without leaving some important aspects aside. Ignoring that background story, though, Spitkiss is fun enough for one playthrough and left me satisfied, though I recommend getting it on a sale.

Spitkiss is a platformer game with an interesting mechanic where you have to make two characters kissing by throwing spit across an entire level. You can walljump throughout the entire game and as time goes on, more mechanics are added. The music is good even though it's repetitive, the comic is cute and the story is alright. The graphics are also pretty to look at. What really annoyed me however is that the controls feel wonky and that's... the worst thing that can happen in a platforming game. They feel delayed and sometimes you try to line your spit with a wall and it doesn't want to give you a proper line of sight, causing you to fall and die. As I got better with knowing the game limitations and exaggerating my aim to make sure I'd have line to sight it helped, but I feel like the game could have better fluidly. Also, it's quite obviously a phone game ported to PC. Lastly, the game is quite short, I finished it in an hour. I almost bad tripped at the end when I noticed I didn't get the single achievement in the game, causing me to waste 5-10 additional minutes on the forums to find what's wrong with that and it turns out I just had to close the game. Never had a notification that I got the achievement both in-game or after closing the game, but it's there... Overall, not a very positive recommendation, but a fun platformer nonetheless.

Score: 8/10 Fun and unique indie platformer about flicking a liquid ball through levels while avoiding enemies and other obstacles on the way. Really fun but main con is that the main storyline is only around 1-2 hours long. It is compensated though, as it is only $3. Now, you may be wondering why I have 20 hours, and the reason is for true 125% completion. To truly complete this game, you need to rebeat every level, + a new world only unlocked after beating the game, while a ghost is constantly chasing you and at the same time collecting 3 very awkwardly placed hearts all in one go. Isn't so hard in the early worlds, but some of the levels in the later worlds can take over an hour by itself easily. This isn't for everyone, but if you like a nice challenge I do recommend going for it, and getting more bang for your buck.
A spitting platformer, a spitformer if you will.
Spitkiss is a casual platforming game about polyamory developed by Triple Topping. You complete levels by platforming as a glob of spit, and a fairly simple story plays out through comic-strips between chapters. This game has been on my radar since RPS did an article on it a while back, and I’m glad I finally picked it up. It’s a pretty casual hour and a half of game and I enjoyed playing through it.
Positive:

The art is really great, the style they went for is colourful and charming, and the comic-strips and backgrounds are particularly well done.
The gameplay is fairly simple but good fun. Each level has a start point and an end point and you get from A to B by hurling your glob of spit through the air. You recharge your jumps by landing on walls and the glob has a curving trajectory which adds some complexity to it. When you’re aiming your spit, the game goes slow-mo which is very helpful.
For the most part, the levels are well designed. There were a couple that I found particularly frustrating, but those were definitely the exception rather than the rule. For the most part levels only took me one-three tries.
The story is pretty simple but because the comic-strips are so well done its fairly engaging.
The music is well done and gives the game a kind of relaxing atmosphere.

Neutral:

The game definitely feels like PC port was something of an afterthought. The menus are kind of tricky to navigate and the game essentially takes place in a phone shaped section of your screen. For me personally, I wasn’t really bothered because it’s so cheap, but this one is definitely up to personal preference.

Negative:

The mouse controls are absolute garbage. I found it unplayable without using a gamepad. Considering the fact that there’s no gamepad requirement on the store page or as a splash screen (in fact it specifically says it can be played with a trackpad, mouse or gamepad) I think it’s just not acceptable that the mouse controls are so bad.

Verdict:
Spitkiss is a charming little platforming game that makes for a fairly enjoyable hour and a half. It definitely feels like a mobile port, but it’s forgivable given the price. Be warned, you definitely need a gamepad to play it.
