For fans of the movies, there really isn't much of a choice other than to play this series. "Back to the Future: The Game" is one of TellTale's earlier games, and it shows, with very limited choices and a linear story. The story itself also hews close to the original trilogy, down to the same feel when it comes to the final resolution. Voice acting isn't bad. Christopher Lloyd is around to voice Doc Brown, and Michael J. Fox makes a cameo near the end. They got other voice actors to play everyone else (including Marty McFly and the various Biffs), but they do a decent job. The music is great, right out of the movies. To be honest, if you go into this game expecting to be playing the movie (or an episode of the animated series), you'll know what you're in for. I really enjoyed this series back when it first came out, but it isn't as good as TellTale's later attempts.

Despite its faults, Back to the Future Episode 4 remains a pleasurable nostalgia trip for fans. Among other clever winks to the film series, Marty blasts a few people off their feet after hooking his guitar up to a car-sized speaker and rides around town on a makeshift skateboard. Like every episode before it, Double Vision ends with a twist, which helped build my excitement for Telltale's next (and final) entry, but I hope Episode 5 tries to break the mold.

Since Steam splits every episode of Back to the Future into a separate store page, unlike newer Telltale games, I'm just putting my review for the entire game here. A phenomenal adventure game that not only features great puzzles, but is driven by a funny, heatwarming story and incredible acting. It's the best sequel that Back to the Future has ever managed to produce, and made me genuinely care about the original movie even more.

Great series for BTTF! Made me go back and rewatch the movies. The voice acting is great, and the games are fun and a tad challenging at times. Perfect combo. <3

The fourth episode of a very good game from the Back to the Future universe was in my opinion very cool. It was lighter than the previous one, but you are for a surprise at the end. I enjoyed this one also and can't wait for the last episode and the conclusion because I definitely wonder how the timeline is going to get fixed.

A bit slow in that mid 2000's point and click adventure way but it's fun and feels like it could have been back to the future 4 or a mini series.

A very nice extension to the established storyline. Great fun with an good sense of humor and timing without too many nods.

Preface: Each review is for an individual episode. But a rough ranking is here: Episode 1 - 8/10 Episode 2 - 9/10 Episode 3 - 10/10 Episode 4 - 6/10 [Current Review] Episode 5 - 10/10 A disappointing hiccup. That's the best way to describe the fourth episode of Back to the Future. I say it's probably the "worst" overall, though it's still not all bad. If it wasn't for the first sliver (~20 minutes) and tail end (~10 minutes) of the episode being pretty strong, I would have rated it much lower and probably put a "No" to it. The episode continues from the previous, keeping you on your toes, but then lulls for the majority of the time into what is essentially a bunch of errands. There's not even much character development in the episode until the conflict at the end. But as I said, those moments are strong enough to still stand out.

(*** of 5) As tell tale games go, this one also has an interesting stories with some unexpected turn. Still, it couldn't quite hook me. The game felt more like a point and click game. If you like that, go ahead and play it, if you don't, let it be. I really loved "life is strange" and compared to that, "Back to the future" feels awkward. Maybe it's just the outdated graphics, but i doubt it. The story just couldn't really make me dive into it... and the end was rather strange...

Though the whole game series is great, particularly this 4th Episode is boring and silly. I was almost about to break my keyboard and monitor and looking forward to end my sufferings resolving these exhausting puzzles. Ahhh, I can't say how it was relieving when it eventually has been over! Probably the worst Episode in the series! :\
