Really unique concept, and super fun to play. So full of great voice acting and scripting, very fun to play detective this way. Pretty short game tho, so definitely buy this when it's on sale.

A really really fun and innovative detective game! Finally solving the Lethal Script DLC is one of my peak gaming achievements in my book.

A very unique take on mystery games, the stories are unique and intriguing, the voice acting is well done. However if you're looking to solving mysteries, this might not be the game for you - it's not much of a mystery game anymore, but more like a audio book narration..? There's not a lot of deduction required for this game, 80% of the mystery is solved by just listening to the audio, 20% is just using your imagination. Still, the game is rather short, it ended before I started to think it was getting boring. Overall it was pretty enjoyable, I might come back and play it again in the future.

Played through the demo today. Aside from a couple of minor bugs (in some of the larger rooms, the attenuation was off and I was hearing people far away significantly louder than the people I was standing next to), I found the game exceedingly enjoyable. Brilliant concept, creative stories, and enough of a hook to make me really interested in seeing the rest of it. Very excited to see the rest of the game!

At first, I wasn't really planning to leave a review. However after played The Chinese Ghost Event DLC, I changed my mind.
The original game is quite innovative in terms of gameplay, having to piece together a crime scene and understanding their motives are pretty interesting. The only flaw would be it having to make assumptions outside of the scene, which is the major reasons of me not wanting to leave a review. These assumptions are pretty wild and there are too much explanations and possibilities that could happened.
Despite that, The Chinese Ghost Event DLC are one of most gorgeous stories I have played. It's the perfect balance between mystery and storytelling. No need to make crazy assumptions and everything are in your hands. If this DLC gets a English translation, I guarantee it will receive more positive feedback. Especially it's free to begin with. I suggest you try it out.

This has been a fun and unique game. The only games that I can think of that are at all similar are The Case of the Golden Idol and The Invisible Hours. It's a pretty short game, but worth every second - and every penny too. I did get it at a discount (because I'm rarely willing to pay full price for anything), but if I had to buy it again, I'd be willing to pay the $7 they're asking for. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the overarching story in not very clear, but considering that it is such an insignificant part of the game, I can't complain too much.
Honestly, this will be going straight to my favorites list. I haven't played the English DLC yet, but I plan to do so my next opportunity, and I hope they make English versions for the other DLCs soon (though I understand wanting to wait for a quality team to do so, and I am willing to wait).

This game was fun and innovation. I played the game in its entirety in four hours and it was worth the 5 dollars spent.

Interesting game! It's like the Golden Idol games except in a more video/timeline form. Each case was very interesting to find out, and everyone's dialogues and actions came together in such an interesting way to form a complex narrative. The endings didn't make too much sense to me, but other than that, everything was really cool! Also, everyone was so expressive even though they were literally just circles! Their movements made them feel alive, and so did their voices. Would recommend!

This is a fascinating game with mechanics that I really enjoy! It's really cool to be able to walk through a crime scene and eavesdrop on various conversations until you piece together the exact scenario. Thankfully, there are rewind and fast-forward buttons, so you never have to worry about missing something (and the ability to scrub through the audio is vital to catch each and every conversation that surrounds the particular case).
On that note, it can get a bit repetitive, and since there's not much visually happening, it may be hard to stay engaged, especially if you've listened to a particular conversation multiple times. Most of the audio tracks are about 5-10 minutes, though I think there was one that might have been longer.
Honestly, it was satisfying to be able to piece each mystery together, and none of the cases were impossibly hard. As long as you pay attention and make sure to listen, you can solve the case. There's also a comment feature so that you can take notes on particular people or conversations.
It's a short experience, and the endings are a bit nebulous, but overall I definitely recommend it. Its unique gameplay is definitely worth trying out!

Wow. I haven't had such an incredible time with a mystery game in so long. I originally bought this game because it was the last game my brother played on steam before he passed away. I see why he got it. We both like mystery puzzle games, so for him to play this doesn't surprise me. It gave me something to connect with my brother in his remembrance.
Other than to remember my brother, the gameplay is AMAZING. I've been looking for a mystery solving game like this for a long time, so to play this was incredible! I was worried that I'd have to cheat for some of the mysteries, but it felt incredible to actually solve the puzzles on my own. I highly recommend this to ANYONE who'd love a good mystery!
