this game is great because it will drive you insane mostly because of the music that plays over and over again and the constant bugs in the game.

So, hmm... For whatever reason, this afternoon I wanted to play the classic Pong game, and I've asked myself: "Is there any game like that available here on Steam?". I've done a quick search, and found this one, being sold for a very attractive price. I'll be honest with you, after watching the video I didn't get so thrilled, because the animation seemed a bit slow? Anyway, I didn't really care in the end, so I've ended up purchasing it. Being this a simple game, there's no story mode, no championships, nothing; you can only create custom matches, choosing variables such as the difficulty level, the max number of points and the time limit. The music gets old quickly, so all it took me was a single match for me to turn it off. As for the gameplay itself... Well, what can I say... In the easy mode, the speed of the game is really slow, making it a bit annoying to play. The normal mode is a bit faster, but it doesn't improve much. As for the hard mode... Seriously, it makes the easy mode look like the "nightmare" level, because it's definitely a cakewalk. All in all, I've played the game for 17 minutes in total and got all the achievements that were available. I've also seen a few glitches. One of them was that the ball would get stuck on a wall, and I had to reset the match because of it, as for the other one, whenever you start a game the "goal points" it's automatically set to 15, but if you just leave it like it, the game is over after 10 points (really annoying). Another one, related to the hard mode, makes the ball go so fast that you can't even see what's going on. I thought for a while if I should recommend it or not, but oh well, considering the nostalgia, the price and the possibility of getting all the achievements without going berserk, I think this one deserves a thumbs up. Don't expect any replay value, though...

Classic ping pong with a beach theme. Everything is simple and nice. I would like to see the game online with friends!

Having played the original Pong on an Atari console, I thought that playing Beach Pong would be a bit of retro fun. However, I found the paddles in this version of pong to be poorly-responsive (from memory, I believe that the paddles in the original black and white Pong were more responsive than in this game). I thought I would do the achievements for Beach Pong, as winning was easy enough - but the game kept on stuffing up. Set up a 15 win game, win every one of the 15 rounds, and the game keeps on going. What the frick? Get to about 10 wins in a row, and the game starts going into pause mode after every win (this happened quite a bit). Again, what the frick? Bought Beach Pong on sale for about 50 cents, but still feeling a bit ripped off. No way should anyone buy this for the full price; in fact, I would suggest that you don't buy it at all. Unless you're an achievement hunter, you shouldn't waste your time with Beach Pong. Sorry, but this game is a bit of a fail.

TL:DR: For .49 cents USD it's worth it for the gloriously broken nostalgia blast. This game is super broken, but for some reason I still like it. Maybe because I've never seen inverted difficulty before? Hard as most people have said, is super easy, though I had full motion only one match. btw, to move you have to hold down your left mouse button and jiggle that sucker like a cat batting the red dot. It also will void a match if the ball gets stuck in a corner, or the game just feels like it. Sometimes the ball just stops dead. No reason at all. It's kind of hard to get some of the achievements as the game will just void a match out of nowhere, but in hard mode it is fun when it lets you move around and slam that ball past your computer opponent. Try easy or medium for more of a challenge. Your movement is restricted (though that happens randomly in hard mode too) and the gameplay overall is more of a challenge.

The first game of videogame history turnsout out as low polygon graphics mediocre fun game but where the hard mode is the easiest to beat.
