I'd give this a 4/10, and only then as I got it at a discounted price. It's sold as a mini-game (2-4hrs play time) that forms part of a series, but given this is 4 years old, I guess the remainder of the series never materialised.
I'm not quite sure where this game sits; the "adventure" components are too simplistic for lovers of adventure games, and the combat is too simplistic for lovers of FPS games. Graphics aren't bad, but much of the story is told through static cut scenes. Talking of story, I didn't really understand what was going on: arrive at spooky house, shoot a few monsters, free the girl.
On the plus-side, I thought it had quite an eerie, Lovecraftian atmosphere to it.

Cheapiest bullshit. I really don't know why reviews so positive, it feels cheap at every scale.
