It plays more like a Visual Novel, there is no interaction apart from some question prompts. Nothing happens if you miss them, but at least it makes you understand the point the game is trying to show (how AI can analyse and shape people), as it makes you think about it before showing the answer. The main reason I downvoted is because I only got access to the 1st chapter (about 30 minutes of gameplay), while the 2nd is still in translation. I could find no information of this before, not even in other reviews, so beware.

This game delivers a strong and awakening message, but it's not really a game because there is so little to play with. Looking forward to further development and reiteration.

The English isn't great, but so what? This game will "open your eyes" to the possibility of AI and big data, if (unlike me) you didn't know already. Give it a shot. It has a lot of reading and the English translation isn't fantastic, but it gives it more charm.

Developer has a good intuition to introduce how AI affect our life. I categorize this game as Education.. Pro: - Gameplay include simulate AI and demonstrate how AI influence your life. Cons: - Some bugs and don't know where to click - Too many wording in chapter 3 and feel like i in class rather than play game. Still enjoy the AI simulation part and hope to have more playable content.

This game was magical, it was only an hour long and i really cant wait for part 2 and 3 to be in english but man its quite fantastic. As a psych major, its really interesting and furthers my opinion on technology and how randomness has been taken out of the equation with algorithms and its just such a sweet story. Yes it is more like a docu game and yes it is like reading a book, but the art is fantastic, the backgrounds are amazing and the concept is great. If you like emotional games and have an open mind give it a shot!

Big Brother Is Shaping You is a game about the facts of AI, free speech and algorithms about showing interst to different people. To be honest, this is not really a game. This is a chill program about telling facts and showing how a fictonal AI works and operates. Long story short, it's an intersting game and some of the facts could be true, too. However, this game shows both side of the AI works. Music and graphics is really good looking, but if you looking for something action fueled, this is not your game, but if you want to know about this topic, get the game. It was all right, pretty short too, so get it when it's on sale.

Overall theres a little story here of a digital era worker who wonders in his daily comodity of virtual networks, some frustruations that go with it, but also the sentiment of defending what him and we know is fundamentally repressive, justifying his passive relation with social networks and the aspects that surround it. It works as a visual novel, since gameplay is basically clicking for the story to continue, and answering some questions every so often. The music works really well on its melancholic nature [strike] althogh theres one track in particular that got old pretty fast. [/strike] The art-style fits very well on this tale, as it suits the simple overall aesthetic, making it easily projectable into what you're seeing/reading. Its a good story for what's priced, having bought it at what I suppose is 2USD [strike] (1.292CLP) [/strike] give it a try if you're looking for half an hour of something to read, and a more social and close [strike] small [/strike] perspective of this virtual era of algorythms, information management and the cultivation of numbness. Okay, I want to start out by mentioning how much I like the artwork for this game. It's eye catching and a pleasure to look at. Now that I have said something positive I can mention how much I disliked this game. What I thought I was getting was a visual novel with a story, choices and consequences. What I got instead was a kinetic pseudo documentary / PSA announcement about the dangers of big data. I wish I would have passed on this one and I don't really understand the positive reviews. Clearly they got more out of this "game" than I did.

An interesting visual novel on how the government and corporations use AI (artificial intelligence) to spy and learn more about the citizens. It's something everyone should know about as there's actually a lot of truth in what's being revealed here. In fact, for those in the know, it's how they shape the people's perception the last two years on the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccines and each country's SOPs, using social and news media algorithm as well as "fact-checkers". So far, only Chapter 1 has been translated to English, with Chapter 2 in the works. I highly recommend it!

The translation has stopped on chapter 2 since the release. two years passed, and the developer moved on. And we English readers still don't have even half of the content we've paid for.
