YES, this is the boulderdash I've been waiting for. Still not as good as boulderdash II, but then again, nothing ever will. It's boulderdash, if it were food it would be like a delicious little pastery ! Just have to resist the urge to [strike]gobble up[/strike] erase all the dirt. Thank you Peter liepa and Diamond Productions

OMG. Memories. One of the first games I ever played was Boulder Dash on my older brothers C64. Later we played together on the much improved Amiga version of the game. Many years ago I found the PC clone Diamond Caves, but lost it again. Today I found it here on Steam and right now my own kids are playing around with the game and designing levels for each other. This is a new version with many new features but it still very true to the original. Well designed, and well implemented.

Great game, I played emerald mine when I was a child and I played Diamond Caves 3 from time to time. Can't wait to see new features like this "turn the world" - thing.

This game is absolutely legendary. There needs to be someone who can make a flashy game like BoulderDash 30th year anniversary edition, Diamond Caves and Rocks & Diamonds by Artsoft. I still do love this game though. I gotta say though there is a glitch that happens in the editor when you are trying to make an infinite map. So, that ended my preferred level editor but all in all, the game is solid. I recommend it if you are a new-comer to this type of game.

An excellent update of Amiga Emerald Mines / Diamond Caves and updated version of Diamond Caves 3. Very well done, enjoyable, can't wait until the editor is released.

I've been familiar with DC title since 2006. I have so many great memories with DC3. I used to play with friends, however my copy got lost over time. When I noticed steam version of DC, I immediately bought it in hope of seeing, what I remembered in DC game. And to be honest... No disappointment. Gameplay-wise this game presents itself, just as I remembered. Simple controls, simple goals with sometimes not so simple riddles. Style and level design hasn't changed a bit (except for menu and setting but I'll get to it later). What really makes this version better is capability to let me play levels from other players. :V DC3 had a nasty bug, which changed all emeralds and diamonds into enemies after a short period of time. There ARE a few downsides of this product though. First of all is lack of classic DC font. An update came in and reinserted it but said "update" messed up font's background. So while having a nice pixel art chars, you also get a not so nice black background, which overlaps levels. Looks ugly. :/ Second is music bug. Originally I recall, that DC3 had music only in menu. When I launched steam DC I got welcomed by a chiptune, which kept me a company even throughout playing levels, which was surprising, however not bad at all. Dunno what happened. Since the latest update, no music plays during gameplay. Not only that but there's a chance it stops playing when you exit a level. Weird... Also sometimes I feel like playable character doesn't give a fuck about my input. But whatever. It's still a pretty fun game. One does not have to be a boulder dash enthusiast to enjoy Diamond Caves. I recommend it to everyone, who wants to relax, test their reflex and thinking, or speedrunners, I suppose(?).

I had this game as a kid on my dads clunky old pc. So glad to have found it and purchased to support the game that gave me so much fun as a youngin

Great recreation of the Emerald Mine game from Commodore Amiga. There's hundreds (thousands?) of levels, the controls are good, but could be improved for Xbox controllers. You just need to spend a couple of minutes to set up the screen. Considering this game is still being developed 30 years after initial release, it's well worth it.
