This game was fun, but ultimately, only 15-20 minutes long. I'm not expecting miracles for a game that's only $5, but having more than one room would have made it a much better value. Graphics are good, controls are good, and once they fix the hands, it will be much more immersive. I will keep this as a vr demonstration for friends.

Like other reviews have said, your playing time will vary, but generally it'll be short. I recommend the game, but wait for a sale. The selling point is that instead of facing a general time limit, you are racing against rising waters in a small cramped room. It really adds to the atmosphere and increases tension by a lot. Don't overthink the puzzles and you'll do fine. YT playthrough here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCo4HcurfH4

I'll give this a thumbs up but it isn't an easy one. Positives: + The atmosphere and idea are top notch. In particular the final (incredibly brief) part of the game makes me hungry for something longer in this style. + ... Actually that is about it. You play this for the atmosphere (perhaps confronting a fear or two) and the idea. Is that worth it? Yes but... Negatives: - The controls are kind of broken, at least on a rift. You need to point at things to activate puzzle components. Sounds easy right? Well I was pretty sure I had the puzzle solved, but it didn't "work" likely because I was activating components more than once. There should be a "point" button to point specifically at what you want, at the time you want it. - There are some strange choices in terms of graphics. For example a key puzzle component is the same colour as something you might very well place it down onto. - The puzzles are "meh" at best and generally resolve down to a "don't over think it ... oh is that all it was?" kind of level. Don't expect much to scratch your head at. Mixed +/- It is extremely short, like 10 minutes worth with the only thing extending the game the frustrations above. That opens up value for money concerns, but I think being longer would hurt the title as is. Overall I enjoyed it. It is short, sweet and a great idea. The game as a whole doesn't quite come together but for a couple of dollars it would be rude not to give it a try in VR.

So far this is the best of the Blue Entropy escape rooms. It definitely feels like they are getting better with each one. The water element added a fun distraction that made solving the puzzles harder. The puzzles in this one actually made sense but weren't obvious like in past outings, which makes it more rewarding. The graphics are pretty good and the water effects work well. You'll get about 15-20 minutes from this one. I did have to restart a couple times due to drowning, but as I figured out more of the puzzle room I didn't feel like I lost because of a game glitch or the game cheating; it was just because I wasn't understanding the puzzle (which is what you want from a puzzle game!). Not the best escape room out there on the market but definitely the best of the 5 (to date) from this company.

I love the idea of this game but in its current state it is literally unplayable. I had issues with the first puzzle and after finally getting through that one the second puzzle was broken. I tried uninstalling the game multiple times but never could get passed the second puzzle. Once again love the concept but this game sucks. Also, I bought this originally because it got pretty good reviews but on further inspection at least half of the good reviews were given the game for free which kind of bugs me.

I guess this is the worst out of the Blue Entropy Studios escape room games. The Cabin was great, but all the rest really took a hit by (way of) comparison. I don't know if Gleam (the first game) is also part of this studio's portfolio, there isn't a developer or publisher listed on that page. Curious. Anyway, good effort on the water peril aspect, but it's all very drab and cumbersome. According to an intial blurb I said it was 'pretty good' so since this is the last game left I'll be nice and just give it a thumbs up.
I likely said that because the puzzles were really easy.

ːDonaldToadːːBoxGeneratorːːBoxGeneratorːːDonaldToadːːMM_eddieːːDonaldToadːːbass_enterːːmmrollːːsubtankː ːBoxGeneratorːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneː ːMM_1upːːBoxGeneratorːːDonaldToadːːMM_metallːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadː ːsigdroneːːrobotsnakeːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːBoxGeneratorːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadː ːrobotsnakeːːrobotsnakeːːrobotsnakeːːrobotsnakeːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadːːDonaldToadːːBoxGeneratorːːenergy_tankː ːmegamanshootːːdbzk_kmha2ːːdbzk_kmha3ːːDonaldToadːːmetallːːBoxGeneratorːːBoxGeneratorːːBoxGeneratorːːsigdroneː ːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːsigdroneːːrobotsnakeːːrobotsnakeːːrobotsnakeːːrobotsnakeː

The shortest Room Escape out there, it has literally 4 puzzles and they are not even original. Also for the game on Unreal Engine 4 it looks and handles absolutely awful. I liked the rising water gimmick though, at least it adds something new to the experience.

Very buggy game. On several occasions, actions that were supposed to happen did not trigger. Reviewed with a walkthrough later to confirm.

The atmosphere of this game was enjoyable. I liked being able to fight for my life in a limited amount of time as water slowly filled up in the area that I was in. The game itself however is somewhat frustrating to play do to the mechanics of touch interaction on the puzzle buttons / levers. The game doesn't seem to check for a safe zone on touch areas. So if you hand is near the keypad and you try and input a digit, you may get repeated presses for that digit because the game is detecting the hand still inside of the button. Solving the puzzles was not a difficult task for me, and there were only like 3 that I can recall. I have played through the game several times now and on multiple devices. The graphics quality is really nice, but the game itself can be buggy. I've had issues with the last puzzle not giving the blue cogwheel. I've had issues with an achievement "Houdini - Escape without losing any oxygen"; I felt that I had adequately followed the steps necessary to unlock this particular achievement, never going into the water and never losing any percentage of oxygen (Shown on your wristwatch), It remaining at 100% at all times. One more small issue, there is a key in this game that opens a lock, but the issue is that the key uses the same grey texture as the ledge it is sitting on. It can be very difficult to locate this key if you do not know it is there. It would have been nice if the game were longer and it would have been nice if there were different difficulty modes. Harder modes would contain more puzzles and increased difficulty. The requirement of having to solve more puzzles in the same limited time would make for a challenge and add to replay-ability.

Updated review following developer update. What a great premise for a room scale game this is - trapped in a room filling with up water. Two cardinal VR sins with the first release have been addressed by the developer (no hands and wall clipping). This is a decent room puzzler with great graphics and a fun experience to show off Vive room scale - pitched at a reasonable price. The drowning scenario adds a real urgency to the game, loved it. This is what VR is all about - deserves a place in every VR collection.
