the whole UI is not intuitive and very frustrating to use. what i mean by that is i was able to find a portable stove but it wouldnt let me put it on a quick slot to setup and place. alot of little things like this were you cant put an item in the quick slots to use and setup. I was able to find an empty propane bottle was able to get it filled but once i installed the bottle it says empty. plenty of chairs and beds in houses but none were able to be used. you can modify weapons from the quickslots. combat is also very clunky. it also has very long load times. my first save file i was in a building and had to log out when i logged back in i was starving thirsty and etc. so started a new game and tried again but it still got too frustrating to play.

love this game. as its open world you chose how to play it. you can select which quests to take on, although some qujests have to be preformed in order to open up other quests. it can be played in a variety of different ways. You can just take on the infected, take on bandit gangs, hunt wild animals, mine, farm scavenge for food or keep chickens. There is an extensive building menu where you can build cabins, tree houses, forges, defensive walls and many other items. Go and rescue NPC's, including a pet, from bandits. How you play is entirely up to you.

what the hell has happened to the game? did the dev just give up or what? so many bugs now i walked 3 mins in game x7 times and had to restart, not worth the buy if your looking for a zombie game survival even do not buy this game, it was once good but then everything about it changed and got worse as they would add things and then never patch the game thus my 1 hour today trying to play again after 3 years or so since the last time i played back when it was on the old map and there was only 1 mine and no boss! Please take this to heart before buying thank you, i would reccomend No one Survived over this at this point!

Way too unfinished even for early access. Has cool ideas, nothing ground breaking tho. The game should be free to play, or max 2 bucks.

Have played this game since launch on and off over the years got my moneys worth that's for sure so to finally give it a negative review was a conflicting issue for me . But now i have given up on the game i feel i would like to express my disappointment in its development i have lost faith in this ever being a fully polished in depth survival game. progress is painfully slow and each new feature added seems break a existing mechanic just to many bugs to even list still after seven years falling through ground into nothing is common etc , and reworking the old map instead of just creating new zones seems futile ,we had two zone now just one playable second zone has been shrunk basically down to one small town so again we will have to wait years for the rest of the zone to be usable again one step forward two steps back........ not what i call progress . Also having a dev console available on all version ruins the immersion when you know you can simply spawn items as desired ( same reason i never play scum single player ) i can not recommend this as a true survival game it has its fun moments , but in the end the developer has just dropped the ball by the time this game is finished ( assuming ever does ) my great grand kids will be born and heck i don't even have grand kids yet so yeah if your looking for a new survival game to play id just go with a survival game that has a larger development team and a more clearer direction this game will never be anything more then a side project for the developer

The whole mist thing is very unsettling. It's missing random screaming in the atmosphere. Man and Beast. That would make it perfect for me. The graphics are very nice and they made a good job in the lighting. The experience feels believable most of the time. Sound design is kind of a let down, I expect a more audible impact to my ears when firing. Animations are not as bad as youtube comments tend to portray them. A nice game, from which I expect a good development. Buy it, You have probably bought Dayz standalone on lauch anyways.

I found out about Mist Survival from watching Fooster back in 2022, but I hadn’t picked the game up until now. I have to say, I’m really glad that I did. It’s quickly become one of my favorite survival games. The atmosphere is great. It actually feels eerie and immersive without overdoing it. There are also a lot of clever little mechanics that make it stand out, for example, like needing pencils to mark your location on the map and the way backpack upgrades work. You need to be smart about how you manage your stuff and use your surroundings to figure out where you are. Details like that just make it feel more engaging than a lot of other games in the genre. As someone who’s more of a casual player, I think the balance here is spot on. Of course, people have different preferences when it comes this kind of stuff, but for me, it hits that sweet spot between the super hardcore survival sims (where you're tracking every tiny detail) and games that feel way too easy. Yes, there are some minor bugs, but nothing game-breaking in my experience. The game is made by a small team, and as far as I can tell they have been actively working on it, so I’m confident it’ll keep improving over time. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews, but honestly, I think people forget it’s still in early access, and that it’s only $11. For that price, you get a ton of content and a solid experience. I’ve had more fun with this than with some $40 or $50 games made by much bigger studios. If you’re into survival games and don’t mind a bit of early-access roughness, Mist Survival is absolutely worth checking out.

I really really really try to love this game because it has massive potential. But what is with Game devs these days jumping the gun and bringing out a broken game....... which is fine just as long as it improves which sadly this one has not. I stopped playing this game in 2023 and now its mid 2025 i figured "lets give it another go" because in 2023 there were so many bugs, game breaking frustrating bugs....... being 2 years later now surely massive improvements but i feel the game has taken a massive step back. Game dev seems too busy adding new shit to even be bothered fixing the game breaking bugs, it is wildly frustrating playing this game, i have never wanted to punch the computer screen as much as i have when playing this game and i come from the Ark survival beta days, This game makes Legacy Ark Survival look like a finished masterpiece. I'll pop back in after another 2 years and hopefully things are better but i am not gonna expect them to be as 2 years has passed since i last played it and i feel there has been no improvements, Sure vehicle re-skins are great and all but FIX THE DAMN ISSUES first!!!
