This game came out in August of 2018. I'd had my Steam account for a few years before then, but this is around the time I was really starting to get into PC gaming. I have always loved clicker type games and just two months after release, I came across Slime Age on my store page. I through it on my wishlist as a random cheapy game I'd eventually get around to buying and playing some day. Well that day has come. In 2025. Several years after I'd first laid eyes upon this game and, it would seem several years since this game has fallen into...forgotten obscurity. At the time of writing this, the game has a whopping 12 reviews (other than my own) and well... they're a mixed bag. Most comment on their dislike of the lack of audio and depth to the game. After all, it is a very cheap thrown together game. I can understand their upset with the game for sure. My biggest peeve with the game would have to be the item shop. I've only just downloaded the game, but from what I can see I'd have to assume it's always been this way? Upon entering the shop, you get a pop-up proclaiming that the item shop is coming soon in September. Wake me up when September ends because the shop is not open. Regardless of the game's shortcomings, it is still a very cute little game. You can raid various locations, earning you items which you can then trade in exchange for new characters. Could the game be more? Absolutely. Do I still like it? Yes. Was it worth $1.06? I suppose so.
