Had an absolute blast playing with my friend. I don't think we were able to go more than 5 minutes without laughing at the shenanigans we were able to get up to. When you're not busy trying to kill each other, the puzzles were fun and interesting, and it was cool seeing how even just between the two of us the different ways we would try to solve them. Highly recommended, especially with a good friend!

So far, I have enjoyed the game. What does bother me a lot is the fact that I lost all my progess to a random bug. I hope this will get fixed soon.

Overall, a very fun puzzle platformer. It has great puzzles (and puzzle mechanics), decent platforming and a good sense of humor. The graphics aren't great, but there are a lot of unique animations for different ways of dying. On the minus side, the controls leave a little to be desired, and there are some bugs (with impact up to and including needing to restart the level).

This is a really fun game with some HUGE polish issues (which I'll go over at the end). REZ PLZ is a really well designed solo/local co-op Puzzle Platformer (somewhat similar to Battleblock Theater). You control 2 characters and many puzzles rely on sacrificing one of the characters to pass. There is always friendly fire, which leads to a lot of fun trolling your friend when playing. The game also definitely has a sense of humour to it. There are 30 levels in the Story Mode and an extra 5 levels in the Gauntlet mode. The story mode took me around 6 hours (with lots of trolling and messing around) on my first playthrough and about 3.5 hours on my second playthrough. The Gauntlet levels took me around 1-2 hours on my playthroughs. This is a game that is pretty routinely on sale for very cheap and is extremely charming, and I would definitely like to see more people play. That being said, REZ PLZ also has a lot of bugs at the time of this review that could definitely ruin the experience for a lot of players. I encountered bugs in many of the levels I played, and unfortunately, game breaking bugs were relatively common. On multiple occasions, one of my characters would no longer be able to move, or would no longer be able to pick up items requiring a restart of the level. Worst of all, when I completed 33 out of 35 of the levels, the game froze and deleted my save, forcing me to play through the entire game again to experience the game again. These bugs were less common in single player, but in my co-op remote-play playthrough, they really soured my experience to the game. This game would easily be in my top 3 favourite co-op platformers if not for the bugs, but unfortunately the bugs are so rough that I recommend waiting for the game to go on sale (or seeing if they fix them) before picking this up. Really great game with a big stain on the experience, but I would still recommend.

I played it solo only and I had a good time. It's a nice puzzle plat-former that reminds me a lot of of the game "Lost Vikings." Definitely a hidden gem that deserves a little more attention from gamers.

This game feels criminally ignored for how good it is. Yeeting yourself and loved ones into deadly hazards is entirely too appropriate for the days we live in. I've only played in co-op, which is just fantastic. The central mechanic of needing to kill yourself or your brother to navigate a level works very well, and sets up a lot of the great kinds of laughs that emerge from something going wrong. It feels very appropriate for a wide range of skills and ages as well. There's often one set of actions that is a little easier than the other, so someone who isn't as good as games can still contribute without being frustrated by the tougher timing of some platforming areas. But if both people are good at games, then they can just alternate who is in the support role. The classic mode is challenging because it limits the number of resurrects per stage, but there is a more forgiving infinite rez mode which is arguably the most fun way to play, because there is no punishment for faffing about and killing one another in fun ways.

Awesome game, very fun Co op. Challenging too. Glad this is finally out! But. There are quite a few bugs. I.e switches not working and having to restart a level because of that. Or even certain mechanics not working. This makes it very frustrating on difficult levels. Which gives me mixed feelings about this game. But upon further review... I still have had fun playing it. The good fun outweighs the annoying bugs (I do still continue to play it). The devs responded to this review and seemed to be working on these issues, which shows a desire to make a polished, flawless game. And I can appreciate that kind of devotion. Keep up the good work! Bought this day one because friends and I played the first level at pax west 2017 and devs seemed like great people to support! A caring response to this review further shows that.

COMPLETIONISTS BEWARE. Achievements are completely broken as they constantly lock themselves back. You get an achievement for dying 25 times. Then another one for 50 deaths, but the first locks again (as if you've never obtained it) and you cannot unlock it anymore. In a similar fashion obtaining an A rank wipes out S ranks that you've obtained previously. The best part is that upon closing the game ALL achievements become reset anyway. It's a damn shame because it seemed interesting.

it was fun up until you soft locked at a puzzle and were unable to go any further into the game bricking your playthrough. was doing the correct answer for the puzzle (even looked up walkthoughs) but the game wouldn't let us pass so it's hard to recommend a broken game.

Played the first bit with my brother, and it wasn't really our cup of tea. The game feels kinda empty - the levels having a repeating theme with lawl-death types of puzzles. I was kind of hoping for some more of the humor that the game shows in the trailers to be apparent, but each one is a series of very empty-feeling challenges. The really strange part is that, while the game is based on co-operative play, it feels remarkably like a single player game, where one brother has to either stand around and do nothing or be dead and do nothing. The rez system encourages you to take turns, but it really doesn't address the main issue. There's other 2-player games that are great for having a fun laugh with another person. This is especially true if you're looking for games where you're looking to play together at the same time.
