absolutely brilliant. If you played survival mode in TBS 2 then you know what to expect but the gameplay of TBS 3 makes this a lot better. The only thing people might be annoyed by is that the difficulty doesn't spike until about half way through the game so for the first half on a low difficulty it may not be as challenging and you wll just be waiting for the next wave battle. Although as long as you don't find hard mode too easy you could just play on hard, and it would take quite a lot of experience to make hard boring, especially if you are looking to get achievements like Krumr's mentor (survive all battles on hard without reloading). There are a few small changes as well recruiting new heros costs more renown and there aren't as many reloads, but you can buy items now as well.

I don't know how I feel about this. I love banner saga and they are all amazing but this is stumping me. The price isnt bad, but I guess it was with the game. I know thats bad but oh well, it is worth the price, so pleas buy it. Though one complaint is that I wish we had all the characters, we are missing some and that sucks. Please add them all if possible. But again 100% worth it because banner saga is aweome!

This survival mode is much more buggy than banner saga 2's effort. I can't even get to the ending, because it crashes just before completing the last level. Ultimately a disappointment and frustrating trying to play with so many bugs.

This is pretty much the survival game from Banner Saga 2. Yeah it was free in two and costs money now, but it's $5, which is virtually nothing (where I'm from $5 doesn't even get me a burrito), and it's fun to play. Totally worth the purchase price. For those who don't have Banner Saga Two, you make your party and then fight battles and level up your people. If your guys die you have to get different guys. It's just pure battles and no story.

Just some meaningless battles that you try to survive. For some reason, developers want money for this DLC, even though this mode was free at second game. There is nothing new actually: Same charachters, same items and same maps with the same enemies.

I like this game mode, allows me to focus on the strategy combat without having to deal with a ton of dialogue in between.... but why on Earth would the devs force there to be a 45 second time limit on a single player game. Force. Actually ruins the experience for me. Actually stupid.

This dlc is terrible. The second game gave it for free, this one you pay for. That is not the end of the world. What is funny is that more effort was put into the second one than this one. The previous survival mode made new maps. This pathetic dlc literally just copy pasta the maps from the game into this and called it a new game mode. The regular games maps really don't work very well with survival modes perma death system. Avoid this, it is a lazy cash grab.

I absolutely adore Banner Saga as a trilogy but this dlc feels wrong to me. This was a strech goal for getting 50% more money than initailly asked. It feels weird that a mode consisting entirely of reused fights from the base game is given a pricetag at all considering it was free in the previous title. I'll update this review if the mode does hold any new content such as returning characters that were not in the main game or new enemies. If you liked Banner Saga 2's survival mode you'll like this one too, but in my opinion your money is better spent elsewere
