This game is an interesting platformer, reminiscent of the games of old while keeping up with some more recent gameplay mechanics. This little game does not have the grandiose cinematics of bigger videogames with big budget, but the story is told like a book and the art is beautiful. The game design is quite nice and is accompanied with a very good soundtrack.
It offers a good challenge at normal mode and the boss fights are quite interesting, each having its own twist to beat it. There is a good variety of level, from the nice forest to what fells like the depth of hell, passing by swamps and creepy spider caves. There are secrets to find to upgrade your weapons and spells, as well as scrolls detailing the world around.
Overall, it's quite a wonderful fun little game that is worth you time.

A solid action-platformer that FINALLY takes all the wanton killing seriously! (At least up until the point I'm currently at.) The overall aesthetic is very soothing, and the action and platforming, while fairly simple at their core, make good use of situational mechanics to provide a range of satisfying puzzles. Looking forward to playing more!

A fun and tricky but also accessible 2d puzzle action platformer. Well worth the price of admission and replayable fun with the challenge modes and achievements.

Fun platformer! Reasonable learning curve, intriguing storyline, fluid controls and easily navigable levels. A little stilted at the beginning with lots of dialogue, but very fun overall. Would be nice to be able to rebind keys and exit game directly from play

I gave this game a try a while back and figured I should actually leave my review. The game's art style is interesting and enjoyable. The music does a great job of setting the tone. The overall presentation and pacing is well done. Albeit, navigating maps can be confusing and may make progress a bit slow. The battle mechanics do their job well, as does the platforming. Maybe some sections can lead to some frustrations, but nothing I found unbearable.
The story itself is not quite what I was expecting, which also made it refreshing. It was a pretty unique take on a hero and a journey. All-in-all, this game was enjoyable and something I feel I should go back to at least give it a run or two more.
I appreciate this game for being a different adventure to play and for what it is. There might not be anything outright spectacular for me but I feel it's an experience a lot of people should give a try. If anything, maybe a reminder for all of us to just make things. It doesn't need to be perfect or have all the things. Just make it fun and give it a personality.

Cute little game with a good narrative. My only bad point is that the game can be a bit too punishing sometimes.

Very fun 2D side-scroller with colorful graphics and fun gameplay.
The enemy design is solid. Every type of enemy must be fought differently. You can't just get away with spamming the same 2 moves all game.
The boss fights are the highlight for me. The boss design is inventive and each fight was really hard for me. The game will punish you for messing up in the boss fights. It has an old-school vibe this way. It can feel like they`re piling up on you when you screw up. Luckily, the reload screen is very quick .
There is a very easy mode for young kids who just to experience the story without dying all the time. It`s a nice addition because the art is very nice and will appeal to young kids.

A pretty nice action platformer. Not exactly a metroid-vania, for there is little use in backtracking, but sometimes that is a good thing. Good boss design and interesting art direction.

Very nice game with a polished gameplay and beautiful art. Don`t let yourself be fooled by the childish look, the game is hard even at normal (there are easier difficulty even a story mode). I'm about 1/3 in after 4h of gameplay so I would expect the game to last about 12-16h in total. Will probably try a hardcore run after Im finish with it.
