Mirror: The Lost Shards DLC

It adds hours of new content and challenges, if you loved the base game then getting this DLC is a must have!

I bought this DLC after finishing the main game. The dialogue is vastly superior, sometimes it's a little too long but that's just personal preference. It breaks a little bit of immersion since same backgrounds are used for different characters. This could've been fixed by maybe making them all live in the same city/area so it would be natural to see the same things in the background. There are fewer characters but I'm still very happy with this expansion and wouldn't think twice about buying it again, for 2$ it's just such a steal. Looking forward to Mirror 2 which should be coming up soon.

This DLC makes me wish there were an option to give a mixed review on Steam. This DLC is both good and bad at the same time, but I would still recommend it, as it has my favorite scenario from the whole Mirror series and some other really good ones. The main issue with the DLC is the art. The art is super inconsistent. I will provide a few examples of how jarring these art inconsistencies are to see. In the succubus scenario, the girl will look like how the artist decided to draw her, but then completely change her eye and hair color during various cut-scenes. In the alchemist/witch scenario, during the provocative scene, the main character's dingalingdong is portrayed as a huge, molded mass of meat that is vaguely reminiscent of a dingdongilong. However, whenever the art isn't inconsistent, it is quite nice, especially for the Hill's scenario (slave animal girl). The gameplay isn't changed much from the main game, but in this DLC, you can do much more to the girls in [i]certain[/i] scenes. As for the story of each scenario, I feel like they are some of the best in the Mirror series, as stated earlier. There is only one scenario I feel is lackluster in this DLC, which is impressive considering the issues with the art. Overall, I would recommend this DLC if you don't mind a few art inconsistencies, as everything is pretty solid for what this game is.

Me: Buys silly anime boobies Candy Crush game. Game: Does not disappoint. Me: Buys DLC for more. DLC: Throws "Story that makes you cry on the floor out of nowhere!" curveball. Me: Cries on the floor. 10/10 would cry again

This DLC fixes most of issues I had with the vanilla game. Better stories, improved gameplay and challenging puzzles to solve in order to defeat new opponents. Speaking of new opponents, I found the variety of them as better than it was in the vanilla version of Mirror. What's more, this DLC is mandatory to get 100% achievements in Mirror, therefore if you want to get all achievements or you are an achievement hunter, then "The Lost Shards" is a must-have. In conclusion, if the base game looked like this DLC, I definitely wouldn't review it negatively.

UPDATE: 06/09/18 TL:DR - First two girls are bland no matter what ending you get, their stories are very cliche and just down right boring. Last two girls are more interesting and have better stories to go along with them. + Cheap price - No new skills - New mini-game is not needed Not bad DLC however the first girl is just boring. Even finding out what she really is just not that worth it compared to girls in the base-game. Both endings seem bad no matter even for her "species" you are a slave no matter what. Couldn't of gone down the lines of Catherine for the good ending? I seen some complain about her "spray" attack which blurrs the screen, it is not that bad to be honest but I can see why it could hurt players eyes. The 2nd girl is ok, I actually love her design but don't care for her story. Her pleasure time seems off, her animation repeats where it does not and you can clearly see where they lazily mis-placed the top layer of something. However both of her endings don't have anything worth aiming for those who like some extra eye-candy for screenshots. They have a mini-game at the end of their pleasure/pain routes but each plays the game. The timer does not work so why is it there? (currently glitched, may or may not work like it should) it is nice again for those wanting eye-candy but that is all it is, 20 seconds of eye-candy. You think you would unlock something extra if you beat the timer but nope the timer does nothing even at 0 you can still continue.

This DLC adds four new girls and their stories but doesn't really change much of the formula of the original game. Unfortunately, like the original, the plots, characters and writing is of, mostly, low quality. Something I liked about the DLC is the fact that they include a new animation with the girls for the end of the episode and alternate costumes for some of them. However, most of the stories are unecessarily long winded and meandering with several passages present to create the feeling of content but not really advancing the story at all.

ok so i couldn't find the uncensored patch for DLC and it took a bit of digging because all of it was outdated BUT i found it and the patch is on this website. https://hablamosdegamers.com/en/guides/mirror-uncensor-patch/ This website also has the normal game uncensored patch if needed and instructions are also there. now idk if this was known and im just dumb so just in case others need it im posting this and if im just stupid then tell me lmao.
