I am still a beginner welder. I saw Ocuweld which looks pretty neat but, I have the Samsung Odyssey. So I was looking for alternatives. This one so far has been really decent. I like that it also gives you a sort of safety course. Pretty standard stuff for when you work in a shop. Funny to see PPE that get's used a lot.. I'm not sure if there is a FREE weld mode where you can just practice welding. Would love to see that available. I have about 2-3 years experience but I haven't welded in a few years. I'm currently at a place right now where I have the opportunity to switch back to welding so wish there was a VR game I could mess with to practice and mess around with wire speed and voltage settings. These kinds of games can only be so accurate but would love to see one that is damn near close enough so that when I go take my weld test I have some general ideas of what to change depending on material etc. The welds are simple 3-4 inch welds. MIG. I was looking for something to mess around with like this but seems like It's sort of scarce. In the mean time I'll keep practicing on the machines at work.
