I wish Steam had neutral reviews. The game is well put together, but obviously a game intended for a portable system, like a Gameboy. The game is simple and repetitive.
Your enjoyment is going to depend on robot show nostalgia. If you're a big fan of most of the shows they include, that might be enough, but if you're not, or only a fan of a few of the robot shows, you'll get bored real fast.
Also, this game is easily 50% Gundam. So if you're not a Gundam fan, maybe don't buy this.

I have loved SRW forever, since the days of the SNES. Space Opera and Mechs are the best in anime. I dont get to watch a lot but I love seeing the new stuff show and from that I get to choose the shows to watch. Honestly, if you love mecha you gotta try the series.

It's a tactics game.
Now yes, it is text heavy but its best to not follow it.
Most of the text is just gibberish of stuff for this game and not anything official from the mech shows.
Get it if you want to play your fave mechs from different shows.
This is a rare achievement to have a game like this released in the west.
8/10 because it doesn't feature my fave mech series.
Sure, you have Gaogaigar, sakura wars but not my cup o tea for the mechs.
The choices really scraping the bottom past the barrel here when they could have asked but could have been because of license issues.
