Strange game, in which I like a few others, had no idea what the hell was going on, but funnily enough, I found this game to be quite relaxing. Shooting that person was a highlight......would do it again.

I don't think I've ever played a game as intent on wasting your time as this one. I'd call it a walking simulator, but there are driving sections too, plus it would be an insult to walking sims. They usually have interesting things to read/look at/do mixed in with the walking. This is just interminable walking through the woods, with no clear goal or objective, until suddenly - apropos of nothing - the scene changes. Or driving a car down a featureless highway with no traffic and no intersections for so long I genuinely thought that there was a puzzle that I had to solve to progress that I couldn't figure out. No, it just goes on way, way, way too long.
The character's run speed is maybe a little slower than the walk speed in most games, and the walk speed makes snails look like Olympic sprinters. There's a section in the beginning of the game where you have to wait on an elevator. I have *never* waited as long on an elevator in any game I've ever played. Hell, I've seldom waited that long for an elevators in real life. I thought to myself, gee, I really hope this isn't a sign of what's to come....but unfortunately, it very much was.
The plot, such as it is, is completely unintelligible. Perhaps it would reveal more of itself upon subsequent playthroughs. I do not hate myself enough to find out. I would be absolutely irate if I had spent more than $5 for this, but at least the price was low. Still, I'm going to request a refund. Truly the only praise that I can give it is that it is short - I completed my first and only playthrough in about 44 minutes.

I've completed all the achievements on switch too,
and, it's gonna stay my all-time favorite.
The SUBJECTIVE CAMERA SHIFTS are ABSOLUTELY fantastic, standing out as the game's best trait, imbued with a unique spirit.
The narrative is super engaging, and the controls feel really polished, mature for a pixelated game.
and It's such a thoughtful and minute piece of work.
Nailing the pacing is tough, is quite challenging in game development, but 《Paratopic》's rich music and visuals make it not boringly slow at all——actually, it makes you… y’know, savor it. Savor the tension, the fear, that heavy, oppressive feeling.
The parallel montage technique is employed with great thoroughness and clarity, freeing the game, lets the game break free from that unsatisfying vibe you get when traditional game narrative structures hold things back.
so boldly, and deft.
The story’s worth sinking your teeth into, keeping players hooked.
It has this elegant, (emm maybe it should call 'so high-class'? Idont know how to express it)
and otherworldly keep me endlessly enthralled, like I STUMBLED onto this little lucky sense of redemption, kind of lucky escape mmmmm..!
