It's [i]okay[/i]; great sprite work, but falls off hard beyond that: stiff, clunky, with woefully ineffective spells and skills beyond niche usage, worsened by the castle's difficulty spike, and an utterly grating to listen to voiced protagonist that most unfortunately can't be muted.
If you want an adult metroidvania more worthy of your time, play Grimhelm's [i]Alien Quest EVE[/i] instead; it blows [i]UnHolY DisAsTeR[/i] clear out of the water without trying.
