4 stars. Dig the game but it is too short and simple. The phone feature is cool, but serves very little purpose (which is likewise for the story line therein). Wish there was more for $9...

If you like crypto and have ever thought of building a mining rig for yourself, you will love this game. It's addicting and requires knowledge of bitcoin's price movement from 2009 to 2016 to complete the game. You start out with $2500 and a debt of $250 million. You have to pay it off before the end of 2016 or it's game over. You start out with a simple rig in a bedroom and eventually make it to the point where you have multiple asic rigs in a warehouse. I still have not been able to complete the game successfully. You have to find the right times to sell and reinvest back into mining equipment to be able to pay the loan off in time.

The game doesn't have much content at the moment. I got to the final location and had all my equipment slots full of the best stuff I had available within 1.4 hours of playing. The biggest challenge was waiting for the price of bitcoin to be reasonable. The sort of end goal of raising a certain sum of money overall seemed unreachable unless a ton of upgrades are somehow waiting out there to be found. This might one day be worth the price and i don't want to discourage the developer from improving on it, but right now I paid $9 for about an hour and a half of content. Had one crash during that time.

Stay AWAY! You know whats fucking annoying? having a phone where you're texted NONSTOP by these random fucking people. Apparently you play as a dude who literally refuses to respond to anyone and you watch as they continuously message you 50 times a day, LITERALLY 50+ times PER DAY. On max speed days are literally 2 seconds long. YOUR PHONE NEVER STOPS VIBRATING I SWEAR TO CHRIST ITS THE MOST OBNOXIOUS STUFF, MESSAGES WHERE THEY KEEPS SAYING "CALL ME YOU IDIOT" AND YOU'RE LIKE BRO I WOULD IF THERE WAS A FUCKIN OPTION. Christ fuck that shit. The gameplay itself is a lot more boring than the screenshots portray, It was nice to go in this having common sense and already knowing what hashrates are-- so the game was pretty easy to get into, but as time progressed I could no longer take the phone buzzing and mindless waiting for the market to go up to sell my bitcoin. Another annoying thing is the market value is pure random, you'd think a simulator would try to accurately depict how bitcoin started out at a few cents up to dollars and hundreds of dollars. I played for 2 in-game years and towards the end of the final year I almost missed four electric bills because the value was at 0.00-0.04 where you want to sell at about 0.50 or higher. It's just silly man. This game is a neat concept but extremely poorly executed. It's literally an idle game with motherboards, CPU's and GPU's-- oh and for some reason a bunch of stand-up fans can cool off an enclosed bedroom full of 3 mining rigs. Who woulda thought. I accidentally bought the dumbed-down version for kids as well, I'm not even going to play that i've chosen to refund them both.

Least optimized game I’ve ever seen, don’t buy this unless you have at least a GTX 960 or 1050ti or are willing to play windowed on lowest graphics at 1280x720. This game also needs difficulty modes so that it isn’t so fucking hard to actually get remotely close to winning.

Actually quite enjoy this game. I have played quite a few opening scenarios to determine the best path and I finally settled on one that I have been quite successful at making money. Unfortunately, I just moved into the Apartment and purchase my second 6kw Generator and Large A/C unit. When I selected my 3rd Super Gaming chassis, the system completely froze. I now can access the game but can no longer make any choices. I see the BTC slowly increase, the days whittle by slowly, but the game is completely unplayable. I've even tried to drop the graphics to the lowest setting to no avail. Hoping the Devs can duplicate the issue so it can be resolved. Right now in Early Access I give this a "Thumbs Up" rating - but we shall see if that holds depending on the resolution to the game slowdown.

Sort of fun, but it's really just a grinder. Also, the phone vibrating is annoying and I'm not even really sure of the point of it - just replace it with an initial screen explaining the scenario and be done. Controls aren't particularly intuitive, and again there isn't much point to the game after the first 30-45 minutes of gameplay. I'd skip the game for now.

I think this game would be better with a little more story/events that impact the player. It's still in EA so that doesn't detract from the foundation of this game, which is a good start with potential to grow. Still a few kinks that need to be taken care of. Would recommend if you're a fan of the genre, otherwise I'd wait a little longer... but don't forget about this title. At the very minimum follow it.

dissapointing. could of been so much better. Needs a better market curve for the bitcoin, cause it makes in the upgrade path pointless. You start out strugling to survive, with barely enough cash to maintain your electrical, fuel and upgrade costs. Then the bitcoin price skyrockets, allowing you to buy the warehouse, and upgrade everything to max all at once. The warehouse is a joke. Looks like you will be building a data center with systems gallore. However in reality you are placing a few barebones sysytems on a pike of boxes. The electrical usage of these systems is stupid. I built 1 system, which consumed 175kw of power, generated 50kw of heat, and required as many large aircons as possible to cool it. Just to put that into perspective, a computer runs on 12 volts, and at 175kw of power, that means that the system is running on 14583 amps. For a 1 meter cable run that amperage you would ironically need a 2.1m thick cable. Thats one hell of a fire hazard. I would love to see the warehouse cleared out, proper server racks installed and banks of hardware installed, like a datacenter. Chuck in proper cooling systems - ie water cooling and ventialtion etc. Basically make it look like a data center. Currently the game consists of balancing your budget early on, then striking it rich all of a sudden, buying the warehouse and installiong 1 system, which u slowly upgrade over time (as new stuff is released) and then watching the market for rl hours until it all pays off. oh, and the only reason you upgrade to the bigger places is because they have better natural cooling and electrical supply by default. It is almost impossible to max out your systems slots. At its current state i would give it a neutral rating. It needs work.
