Very very close to a not recommended, practically had to flip a coin. Here are the pros! 1. Graphics/level design. Outstanding! Was so immersed by the environmental quality of some of the missions, especially the arctic maps! Missile attacks and strafing runs are pure eye candy! 2. VO, some of the writing may be a bit tongue in cheek for the most part but a wonderful talent pool provides some solid voice work to make up for it! 3. Comfortable with the Hotas X although flight takes some getting used to if jumping from Air combat games like Project Wingman or Ace Combat. The thrill of navigating small canyons and caves is unmatched in Comanche. 4. Decent selection of missions with a high end difficulty which may be off putting to many but I enjoyed the trial and error of it. Now here are the cons 1. No free flight. IMO its almost mandatory in something as beautifully designed as this. Would have added hours upon hours of playtime. 2. Multiplayer servers which were taken offline way too quickly and never re enabled, it has been years and the least they could have done is remove the option from the main menu, as its now become intrusive. 3. Current price is decent but a tad too high for lack of any updates regarding servers, do wait for a major sale on this one. $9.99 is a better full price 14.99 at the most. 4. Missions are great but some including long range sniping feel cheap as many shots feel quite hit and miss regardless of how well your accuracy. That one sniper bomber mission had me close to biting chunks out of my arm due to the poor placement of hitboxes. 5. No Damn Free Flight. Yes I had to list this one twice. If not Multiplayer, at least they could have given us the option to zoomy zoom around the wonderful maps. The team did a wonderful job with them, having no free flight is just insane.

Really tried to like this game. I think I purchased it once before and refunded it. Fool me twice I suppose.
