TribeXR is a great program, and I have enjoyed being an early purchaser on SteamVR and Beta Tester on Quest. I recently sold my controller, and I cannot replace it anytime soon. I plan to get back into TribeXR in the meantime, and I will update this review if anything stands out as something to highlight or mention that others may not have shared.
The DEV's are DJ's themselves and TribeXR is a passion project as much if not more than anything else. I'm not a fan of subscribtion models, but this App is fairly niche, regularly updated, etc. I can see where a one-time, low-priced purchase model would fail to sustain and warrant the efforts of the DEVs. In VR the greedy sellout to META or put their apps behind a "medical device" paywall scam. TribeXR is a legitimate use for a subscription model in my opinion and based on my experience with the app and the devs.
I did not receive the SteamVR version for free. I did receive the Quest Version for free after helping Beta Test it. In appreciation of the free Quest app in return for Beta testing I purchased the four-deck expansion for SteamVR. Finally as an existing owner of the app, TribeXR gave me and other owners a free lifetime subscription. They're good people.
