***EDIT*** quest 2 DOESN't WORK on airlink - same shaky hands isssue as virtual desktop - happens randomly so can slog through shakiness but really annoying- such a shame
. It is a fun little red matter like game. would love it to work smoothly

Don't bother. VR motion interface is totally unintuitive and there are very few options to customise it. For me controls were so junky it was barely playable. Like someone mentioned textures are very low res and unpleasant to look at. Don't be fooled by the screenshots, the game doesn't look like that. There are NO graphical options what so ever. Controlers sometimes lagged so bad that I was feeling like I was in slow motion. I refunded the game. I don't know anything about the original but this port is crap. It made me unlist the original since the devs have made so low effort vr port of the game.

Hand tracking was laggy, but this is a little gem of an indie game if you like story-focused walking-simulators wih a few puzzles. The tragic story of the crew, the immersion of the tech on board the station - they added so much. There are a few minor jump scares, but overall, I'd recommend it even to the faint of heart - just steel yourself for some darkness and implied danger.

This feels like a very early VR game.
I wouldn't waste your money after experiencing the interactivity of a game like Half Life.
Grabbing things is clunky, proportions of in game models are off as well.
Story doesn't seem to be anything new either.

I bought this game long time ago, I was new to VR and I was looking for fighting, fast pace missions and action. I wasn't ready for this type of games. I finally made the time to go through this. It was not a race, so I enjoy investigating all corners and reading all messages, the story makes sense if you read everything you find, the answers are in front of you, just pay attention. The music is the typical suspense movie music and a couple times I was so relaxed reading clues I got scared.... but not like horror scare, more like suspense. The details on the station makes you feel like you were in a livable place, you also start to understand the dynamic between characters and even profiling them by the details on their room or the way they communicate with each other. It's a good entertaining story if you want to take a break from the monotonous shooting games. I use index controllers and everything works great. The only thing I didn't like and I checked on the settings was to to remove the black out every time I teleport. So I use walking most of the time.

The atmosphere in this game was incredible. The Station very much felt like a lived in place. The sound design was also great along with the overall game aesthetic. This is a narrative driven puzzle game with a somewhat dark story. It's not a horror game but is more of a mystery thriller as you explore different parts of The Station and try to piece together what went wrong. The voice acting was well done which goes a long ways towards bringing the characters to life.
I'm usually able to figure out the twist in most games long before they come but I have to admit, this one surprised me. I got it done in about 2 hours but your play through could be longer depending on how long it takes you get thru the puzzles. Definitely recommend if you're into narrative sci-fi VR games.

Took my time and looked at everything in this and was finished in about 2 hours, Very detailed and smooth graphics rendering definately had a lot of time put into it.It has great atmosphere and interesting story that gets fed to you slowly through voice clips but don`t ever scare you fully (
apart from one jump that got me good, that damn droid in the chair haha
). the game might seem a little pricey for the amount of content to some but you have to invest a little extra in these early VR titles or the tech will die before its even got of the ground .So buy it and enjoy the scenery and the story its only the price of a large whisky and lasts a good while longer

This is better than your average VR game, but it was still a bit disappointing for me. Even though I owned The Station (Non-VR), I hadn't played it and was excited to hear it was getting a VR port. Just upon starting this game, that excitement soon faded away.
The visuals are not the best. There's poor lighting and the 3D environments and objects / models just aren't the highest quality, certainly not AAA quality. It definitely feels like an indie game made by a small studio with a shoe-string budget and it shows. When a game is not beautiful in 2D, it looks even less so in VR.
The gameplay is also pretty barebones. This game involves a lot of object hunting. The puzzles are of uneven difficulty; some are easy and then some are brutally difficult. I still have no idea how to solve some of the puzzles (how to arrive at the solution) even after seeing the solutions online. I tried my best not to cheat, but after a while of wandering back and forth and backtracking, I finally decided to look online for solutions. I saw a 100% walkthrough that's done in less than 17 minutes on normal speed. It took me 2.5 hours to complete this game. I think it can be finished in less than an hour if you're good at puzzles or even longer than me if you're bad at them I suppose.
The story, what there is of it, is actually pretty good even if it's not exactly new material. I don't want to give away spoilers but basically you're investigating what happened at a stealth space station that was investigating a warring alien civilization. You find empty halls and rooms and piece together the pieces of the mystery. There is a lot of atmosphere and creepy stuff happens at times around you. You find audio logs and texts strewn about to find out the story along with the environmental clues. I was intrigued to find out what happened. However, the story was very minimal and there just wasn't a whole lot of depth here, either to the story or to the characters involved. Plus, it's been done better in other games (including Tacoma).
You have full locomotion, along with smooth and snap turning options (and teleportation). Unfortunately, there is a vignette effect that happens anytime you turn that can't be turned off. Interactions are pretty bad. Most of them are point and click (point at the item then just hit grab to get the item in your avatar hand), except for the doors or drawers that you have to highlight with your avatar hand and then pull away. You have your blue avatar hands just floating around while you walk around. Some cinematic scenes happen throughout of varying quality.
Rate 6/10. Overall, I was disappointed. I liked the atmosphere, but I didn't exactly like the game itself ... at least it was only $10 USD.
p.s. Please note that the default controller bindings for this game do not work on Windows Mixed Reality. However, I did upload a binding to the Steam Workshop that does work, but it does have some issues, including that the character drifts on its own. Please see the Steam discussions for more information on my custom binding under WMR.

Nice short story based game with a lot of optional puzzles and inventive ways to solve them.
The game is definitely in the same vein as "Gone Home" as you explore The Station with the ominous sounds of conflict and mystery emanating through the walls. Walking around, solving puzzles, listening to audio logs, and reading notes. No crazy action gameplay but an interesting theme and exploration of a scifi topic.
For the price I'd say its worth it!

I hate giving this a thumbs down because it's a really excellent game of exploration, discovery and storytelling. I'm sure the devs put a lot of work into it. And yet, it was badly broken when I played this on an Oculus Quest 2 over Link, and judging from the discussion forums I am certainly not alone. Default controller mapping was terrible, and the updated version suggested by the devs was an improvement but still only borderline playable. Picking objects up was an exercise in frustration, often launching themselves across the room. Reading notes was extremely hard, and pressing buttons was a lottery. It's a shame because this is a genuinely great game that probably works just great in VR for some (and when it works, it's awesome) but be aware of these issues if you have an Oculus device. But if if doesn't work, refund it and instead buy the flatscreen version, because it's great.
